As you might gather from my other post im just stepping into this blu ray thing and as of yet ive only got 1 blu ray, but the player i bought came with the free years subs to love film, unfortunatly this takes about 2 weeks. BUT ... i was just looking thru the love film website and i see there is a 14day free trial, so can anyone tell me how the free years sub works ? is it a code they send you to add to your account by any chance ... ie, could i create and account for the 14 day free trial then use this code they send me to keep the account free for the year ???

or am i way off track with this and being a bit hopefull ?

can't remember how the free year works, but can say that Love Film are quick on turn around of DVDs - I can send one back on a Monday and by Thursday the next one is with me!

I have been with Lovefilm a few years now and so far have had no complaints about their service.

Give it a trial, and yes you can rent blu-ray discs.

I did the free trial a few years back - and I didn't think it went well.

Of the ten films in the trial, one came wrong (right on the paperwork, but wrong disc in the package), and one never turned up at all (which they then tried to charge me for).

The selection was huge though, difficult to pick what to watch - or find time to watch them.

I've been subscribing to the service via Tesco for a couple years now. I'm very happy with it. I pay up front with Tesco to get a healthy discount and get a good turn around. The availability of Blurays is also an advantage.
