I saw someone with an iPhone the other day showing this cool app which takes your photos and you can make a comic book strip. Is there anything like that out for Android? I have looked on the market but can't see anything.

I used to use that app, didnt find it that useful. From memory, didnt other users of the app, have to update the price of petrol at a pump?

This wasnt ideal, if no one updated the price for a particular pump, then its price would be incorrect, and thus would always appear as the cheapest, when it wasnt. As long as you have people updating prices, for your surrounding area, then it was fine. This wasnt the case where I lived.

Petrolprices.com is a very good site, and is always upto date. They do an app for apple devices, but not one for android.

Have you got a link to this in the market please?
I use the one by Jim Blackler but can't see anything official.

Mixzing - A decent music player that can make automatic playlists based on what you've been listening to and can be quite awesome.

Rock Player - I got tired of converting TV & films for my phone and quite surprised I still had to given the power. Well Rock Player allows you to play a load of popular files (mkv, wmv, xvid, divx, etc) without having to convert them first, it is awesome.

Wifi Analyzer - scans for Wireless LAN networks in the local vicinity to see if multiple access points are fighting over the same channel. You can then adjust your own Wifi (via other means) onto a less cluttered channel.

Sorry should have provided link. At the time it was so new that it came way down in the search results and using the Media Applications Technologies for the BBC as the provider didn't make it obvious that it was official. CNN just uses CNN!! Anyway it's fighting it out with Jim's app for top spot now.

Meh the majority of apps available on Android have been available for the iOS for a long time now.

Just like everything else with Android (mostly), ripped straight from the front runner

Your right, iOS5, will copy androids idea of Widgets. They will also copy android and have notifications in the top status bar. They will also have tighter twitter integration, just like Android.

You sound like a typical apple user, dont know sod all about what you are buying or whats available in the market. You buy something just because of the apple logo. This Youtube video sums up apple users, its funny but very accurate.

About 2 1/2 times and no doubt at least 3 times that of IOS by year end.

It's getting more and more high risk developing apps for IOS, especially if you are unable to even launch them.
Yet another developer, Simfy has been waiting 3 months + for Apple approval.

I do wonder if their €18 million investment is wasted on what is a German we7/spotify.

If android can get some big apps from apple and offer better ones it would mess apple up you would get better phones apps and service then apple.

Motorola's CEO has publicly slated the quality of apps in the Android Marketplace. ie: having more apps available inevitably means there will be more dross too.

Don't get me wrong, I'm an Android user myself and I like the platform. Just check out references/reviews for products before installing.
