If 0 is "whatever" and 10 is bouncing up and down like Tigger, how excited are you about this year's show and the final line-up being revealed?

So far I have found it hard to muster as much enthusiasm as in previous years, but now with less than a week to go, I'm at about a SEVEN.

5/10 - It's not the same without Lilia in it and Darren not competing so I'm not that excited this year

I am very sad to see some of the pros go and my score reflects the loss of Matthew and Brian.

Two points off for the wrecking of the Beeb messageboards, and one point off for each of Matthew and Ian. But half point on for prospect of Tess and Claudia results show, and half point on for Miranda Hart rumour.
Most years, would be around 9 or 9 1/2 by this stage.

2. Very disillusioned after last year and not happy about the loss of Ian and Matthew. That could all change next Saturday though.

I'll miss the pros that we had before, but still excited about the new series and can't wait for the launch show.

Hopefully we'll get some good pairings that will produce some classic routines like before. Every year we get a few very memorable dances that we still talk about even now, so this year will be the same no doubt.

Plus, lots of new pro dances is always something to look forward to....

So for all those reasons I'm about 9.5 right now.....and by time Wednesday comes I'll definitely be a 10!!

My excitement level is about 5/10. The reason is all the changes this year, I think there are too many. My main concern is the sidelining of the original professionals to a dance troupe - and wonder if this will lead to them being dumped next year. I think it is a very bad idea to get rid of professionals of the standard of Matthew Cutler and Lilia Kopylova, and keep a professional who can't dance latin and makes racist comments.

lilia isnt involved in strictly anymore as i remember katie is a lilia fan

But no Matthew - take away 9 = 1

No Ian, Lilia and Brian - take away 20 combined = minus 19

No chance of Lilia and dance machine reprise - take away 9 = minus 28 (oh dear )

Add possibility of nice surprises - add 9 = minus 19

Add (faint) possibility of Miranda Hart - add 9 = minus 9

Add the joy of watching ITT and Claudia every weekday - add 10 = 1

Add combined fun of DS spoiler forum, naughty steps, Monkseal, John and Hammy - add 50 = 51

So I'm 51 out of maximum 10

I think that probably means I'm quite excited!!

I'm looking forward to seeing this year's pairings. Will reserve judgement on the changes until the series starts.

I think the show has gone downhill a lot in the last few years. At one point the Bennetts and Matt being sidelined would have been disappointing, but not enough to stop watching.

About a 7 at the minute.

I'm annoyed at the loss of Matt, Ian and Lilia, annoyed at the fact Bruce and Alesha are still there and there's no Karen or Camilla on the judges panel and annoyed that Chris and Ola won't be dancing their Charleston (or anything!) again week 1 whereas Tom and Camilla got a champions' dance last year. And because we don't know the pairings yet I can't get excited about the prospects of Flavia, James, Kristina or Aliona reaching the final or Ola or Natalie staying in longer than a couple of weeks again this year (seeing as they're both likely to get a dud!)....

But counteract that with no dance-off, Claudia presenting the results show and ITT, the promise of more pro dances and a first-week Cutler-choreographed one (hopefully jive!), seeing pics of the pros in rehearsals and them making me laugh and be very confused on Twitter, the possibility of Felicity Kendal taking part, more Monkseal blogs and the launch show being this week

So 7 it is then, until Saturday, when it'll either be a 10 because my favourites have promising-looking celebs and there have been several pro dances, or down to about a 5 or 6 because my favourites don't have promising-looking celebs, which will leave the pro dances being all I look forward to!

I agree. I think my seven could go up or down quite a bit depending on the line-up. I just hope they don't rely on the usual boring mix of soap stars because I find the people who have not gone to stage school so much more interesting!

Seeeing Vincent again and the return of ITT makes me want to say 10.

The departure of other pros I'm fond of and the rumoured line-up of celebrities taking part makes me want to say 5.

So I'll settle on 7.5 which is halfway between the two scores!
