It could go up to 10 or right down to 0 depending on what the mix of celebs looks like (do they seem as if they could capture my imagination), and depending on how much the show remains about ballroom dancing as opposed to other genres.

Situation at the moment is that I will watch the initial shows where possible but if I have other inivitations I wouldn't turn them down (in fact it is borderline whether I will be back in time from theatre for the first show).

I am sorry to not be seeing Lilia and Matthew would rather Aliona and Anton were gone rather than them but I am not adverse to change so will enjoy it as usual.

6/10 - this score reflects the axing of the pros I found interesting and keeping the duller ones imo. Also, Alesha staying and the new launch show. Hmm... not sure!

The loss of so many of the pro dancers and the rumoured line up of celebrities makes my heart sink rather than soar. I wish I felt differently.

I'm still very disillusioned after the last 3 series and the changes this year haven't helped plus they've ditched 2 of my favourite pros. To add to that the rumoured line up doesn't fill me with much gladness either.

I'm clinging to the last bit of 'ooh Strictly's back' excitement that I usually get and the hope that the line up is better than I'm expecting. However, if I see another Chris situation emerging (I knew he was going to win from about week 5) I may finally call it a day. Definately on it's 'final warning' for me

I am disspointed at the pro's who have been axed Brian,Mathew and Ian were my fav 3 pros and i was also very fond of Lilla and Darren The new pros look rubbish and they have kept Alshea and Bruce
However the line up looks good which takes my exitement levels from about 4 to 6

5/10 Based on the faint hope that the new pro dancers will make as big an impression on me as the guys who left or were discarded did...not holding my breath though

Oh, I forgot about the judges If they go into muppet mode again this year I'll be off so fast I won't even have time to come here and complain about it

How can you say that when we haven't seen them perform on the show yet? Unless you've seen them all perform cabarets before?

I can understand people not wanting to like the new pro dancers, I'm not going to pretend I'll support them over my current favourites unless they make a hugely favourable impression in the early weeks, but it's ridiculous to call them rubbish before they've even competed!!

I agree with your dismay about the old pro dancers, but I don't think we can blame the new pros it isn't their fault the muppets at the BBC dumped the best professionals. However I think many people will be looking closely at how the new pros perform and they will be under a lot of pressure. Also like you I am not looking forward to more Alesha this year, she and Bruno got on my wick last year, I wish the BBC would dump them.

Im a 7 bordering on 8. It'll def be an 8 once I know Brucie has gone! ( I dont dislike the guy but hes outstayed his welcome. )

Cons: Anton still there (!!), ditto Brucie, and to a lesser extent Alesha (PLEASE let this be her last series!), also loss of great old school dancers incl Ian, Matt & Brian. Bit nervous about so many American newbies, but Im sure we'll all get to know (and love) them.

Pros: Seems more invigorated this series (esp compared to Xfactor which seems more creaky this series), dance troupe which I see as a pro AND con (not sure what its gonna be like), looking forward to seeing some GREAT celebs like Ann Widdicombe and Goldie (on the same TV prog! Comedy gold!!), Claudia doing the results show (a controversial pro there- some on here arent fans..) and finally my fave pros back! (Flav & the Jordans)

For me Strictly is a kind of yearly rites of passage thing, heralding autumn and then Xmas. I love coming in from the shops as it gets dark earlier and sitting down with my dinner for Strictly!
