5/10 at the moment
This will go up or down depending on the final list of celebs for this series. Disappointed that some of the pros have been sidelined, Matt especially... The last series was too long, too contrived, not as enjoyable as previous series. So pleased that the dreaded dance-off has gone though! Roll on the 11th...

If 0 is "whatever" and 10 is bouncing up and down like Tigger, how excited are you about this year's show and the final line-up being revealed?
So far I have found it hard to muster as much enthusiasm as in previous years, but now with less than a week to go, I'm at about a SEVEN. ![]() I just went to the BBC to see how the launch went, and discovered that it hasn't started yet. Then I realised that I wasn't excited at all, didn't even know the start date... It should be interesting here though, the BBC have abandoned their boards and are directing everyone to three sites, one of which is here, so get ready for an invasion! |

Around 6 or 7 I'd say - I'm looking forward to having something to look forward too on Saturday nights again which I will no matter how bad it is.
The loss of some pros and the sidelining of others is a black mark especially for me Ian whom was my favourite male and is due a win IMO. The retention of Alesha and Brucie are black marks against too. I still hoping against hope she isn't back as a judge and it'll be nice not to see him on the results show - I've never been a fan and his ego is getting increasingly out of control - like the judges he thinks he IS the show and he isn't. However I also love the anticipation of seeing who is good to be good and who isn't and this year it's more interesting we don't know whom is competiting and whom they are paired with. It'll be interesting to see the meet-ups on screen. Not sure about the dance-off going - at first I thought the dance-off was good thing but now I'm fifty/fifty on it. I think on balance it should have stayed but understand those who loathe it and was glad it was abolished for the semis last year. |

It would have been 7 or 8 right now, but the loss of some of my favourite professionals and the announcment that the pre-recorded Sunday results show is returning has killed all excitement I had.
By the time the Sunday show comes round, all excitement I'd had from the Saturday show had long gone. In the end, I stopped watching the Sunday show and just found the result on the internet, which isn't how it should be. Also, some of the decisions they've made regarding pros are shocking. It's a shame, because they HAVE made some improvements that I support. Less couples and ditching the dance off were two things I was delighted with. So to answer the question, I'm gutted to say that - as a massive Strictly fan - it's a big fat 0.

I would start off at an 8 (I think) as all my favourite pro dancers are still in the show (Brendan, Ola and James Jordan), although I did quite like Matthew Cutler...hmmm, maybe I should deduct 0.5 for that
![]() I would have to add 1 point for this being the first year I will be able to join in with the "banter" on DS (if nobody objects! ) and 1 point for them cutting back on the number of couples (much as I love SCD, it did get a bit much last year)I would have to deduct 1 point for having new pro dancers to get to know (which I don't like doing) and also 1 point for the fact that after the "meet and greet" show this weekend, there is a gap of about two weeks before the series starts proper (I think). Think I'm back to where I started now...at about an 8?

After loving the show for years, this time I'm only probably at a 1.........
![]() Am sad there will be no BBC Strictly forum this time round - and kicking myself that I missed the last couple of years I think on there. ![]() Also, I don't think the producers of Strictly have ever understood how much the fans actually think of the pro dancers - sometimes to the extent that we look forward to seeing them return, more than we care about seeing the new Z-lebrities. So now it seems the whole format and lots of the dancers will be changed so I've lost nearly all my interest in it now. I'll watch out of curiosity but am not at all excited by the prospect....  |

I'm around an 8 I think. The only pro I'll miss is Ian, not too bothered about the others, quite looking forward to meeting the new lads. Love they've ditched the dance off (still angry about Lisa -v- Austin, no, I'm not letting it go any time soon), looking forward to more Claudia and less Brucie. Never visited the BBC forums so that doesn't bother me, and the Non-appreciation thread is starting to bubble along nicely, so I'm all set.
However this year I make no comments about who may or may not be good, yes I was bang on the money with Ramps and Austin Healey, but I seem to remember, to my shame, insisting Joe and Kristina were going to be a dynamite pairing last year ![]() ![]()

I thought I wasn't that excited, mainly because of Matt and Lilia, but I'm impatient for Weds, so I guess I'm an 8.

Like... a 1? Maybe? I'm still interested in it because I used to love the show with a crazed passion (
) but the flame has gone. I don't know why. It just feels like me like the show's trying to pander to some audience that it doesn't even know and it's gone a bit limp. Still, I'm an optimist so maybe some revamping might do it some good?(Although I'm still angry at Lilia's and Matt's and Ian's and the other pros' demotions.) |

I'd give a 4, thats due to Brian and the others being axed when you have the likes of Anton still there, also for Alesha being a judge even though she won it, she hasn't the wealth of knowledge Arlene had, and if they wanted a new judge why didn't they look at Karen Hardy.
I also include Claudia apart from at times looking as though she has just got out of bed with the state of her hair, and her questioning has a lot to be desired but I suppose if your are well-connected you get jobs in tv very easily it certainly isn't for skill her childish behaviour at the age of 38 makes me cringe . Much to other posters views I actually like Bruce and have done for many years and my late mm, I am glad he is doing one show though at least he will be able to spend more time with his family and not caught up in the tussles this show produces. |

No Brian either! I love Brian!! What happened there then!? ![]() I really must have been living under a rock, to have missed all this! ![]() Can't agree on the Claudia front, I love her and everything about her really - and I find her very funny!

Matthew the overwhelming people's favourite and England's top-ranking dancer has been snubbed and driven away. Craig openly admits to making a million pounds thanks to Strictly -- he and his like will defend private £ interests at any cost to Strictly. No longer reality TV, just an airbrushed unreality display. Sure there is passion. Passion for £. |

Am around a seven at the moment but going up every day so by this rate will be a 12 (?) by weekend.
As soon as I hear that introduction music in a trailer or when celebs are announced then I will be dancing round my kitchen - difficult in a 12x3 foot room I can tell you. |

I know! Brian was offered a place in the pro troupe that will do routines every week and he said no thanks. I am gutted he and Matthew will not be in it because there were two of my fave male celebs.
