Anyone else really warming to this now?
Even Pyro I'm enjoying. Listened about 15 times to it now. Still far too slow for the Kings.
The End just in love with.

Spot on. This record, like the last one, is without the soul and heart that was in their first three fantastic albums. So sad.

This album is rock solid good. You guys either have too high an expectation, too hip, too narrow minded or just saying it's rubbish without even listening to it .

This is a massive step up from OBTN and that wasn't even a bad album. If it weren't for the masses of people saying it's bad just because they've "sold out" would you really have the same opinion of them?

Also what's with the comments regarding to it being slow? Aha Shake Heartbrake?, OBTN?, Because Of The Times? Even Youth and Younghood had it's fair share. Some people need to come up with better excuses.

short answer: yes
long answer: I heard "Sex On Fire" ages before it got to number one and got played just about everywhere and hated it then as much as I hate it now.. as for the sell out argument, that doesn't affect me as long as i think the music is good it doesn't matter. Magnetic Man are one of my fav new bands of this year and they're being called sellouts.

You're the minority

It's ironic, most people would've hated OBTN because it was far too commercial. But this - minus Radioactive and Back Down South (which are really good songs regardless) - is far from it and is a perfectly solid album, yet still the hate. If you can come up with good criticism that's fair enough but most people can't.

These guys are consistent as any good band are, people just need to listen to them without prejudice.

mvood I have to agree with you. I like the new album.
DEFINITELY a step up from OBTN - I can only bear to listen to 3 or 4 tracks from that but I am pleasantly surprised by Come Around Sundown.
I spoke to my friend who came to see the Kings with me in August and she said she is glad she saw them before this album came out cos it's put her right off them and she won't see them again.
I like it. Thumbs up from me
