Survivor 2010: New Who - Companions and Notable Characters Round Eleven
Rita's Kabin
05-09-2010
Apologies for the delay in posting but I was held up by a -Bandit- who held me captive whilst we sorted out the PYCR choice!

Anyway, Thanks to everyone who voted in Round Ten

If you haven't played a Survivor game before and would like to join in it's all very easy. The idea is that, round by round you nominate your least favourite characters for eviction and the ones with the most votes are eliminated from the game.

The game then, is all about what you think of the characters that you can vote for. You should not consider how good the episode or episodes that the characters appear in were, just how much you like or dislike the character in question.

Votes can be posted on this thread or sent to me via PM. If you're going away or are unable to vote for any other reason you can always PM me a list of characters that you'd like to evict in order of preference.

You can also send your votes into the following round automatically. Just type "auto" with your choices & your choices will automatically be carried forward into the following round(s).

Anyway, on with the results...

Lady Eddison is first in the Eviction Queue this tima round with votes from 41.7% of you whilst a third of you nominated Queen Victoria which was enough to secure her second place.

Seven characters were tied in third place with votes from 25% of you, but after the cumulative votes from the previous rounds have been taken into account it's the followinbg three characters who are evicted in the order stated:-

1st: Clive Finch
2nd: Thomas Milligan
3rd: Ed Gold

Nobody managed to nominate all five of the evicted characters but well done to Gutted Girl who managed to pick four.

actually i agree there, bit shoddily treated by the writers really! I thought he was a bit so-so but nonetheless, hastily shunted aside so that RTD could make a silly little Smith and Jones reference in EOT! I mean, I love RTD, but thats cold!

I've been out of this for the last 7 or so rounds and am a bit surprised at some who have gone already.

My votes for this round are:

05) Pete Tyler (Shaun Dingwall)
23) Bad Wolf / The Parting Of The Ways: Lynda Moss (Jo Joyner)
28) The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit: Mr. Jefferson (Danny Web)

Is it December yet don't you just hate the long wait between the series and Christmas special?

Bestest Regards
Karen

PS Lower for Harriet this time but I do still like her!

Sir Robert
Bracewell

Plus new ones to replace the old and the problem with losing four is that you have to find another four.

Mr Jefferson
Chantho
Miss Evangelista
Guido

Harriet will be lower this time.

I didn't lose any, so:

03) Mickey Smith (Noel Smith)
06) Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman)
14) Professor River Song (Alex Kingston)
32) The Family Of Blood / Human Nature: Joan (Jessica Hynes)

41) Silence In The Library / Forest Of The Dead: Miss Evangelista (Talulah Riley)

30) The Shakespeare Code: William Shakespeare (Dean Lennox Kelly)

I think Harriet will be slightly lower, maybe only one or two places. I love her and wish they would work out the discrepancy between what the Ninth Doctor said would happen with her and what happened after the Tenth Doctor messed with her. I feel like that was the beginning of things getting off track... maybe it could be connected to the silence? Anyway, just spouting off.

Not necessarily a discrepancy; maybe she was a great PM before the Doctor did for her?

Maybe, but she only served one term before losing her post, even though Nine told her she'd serve three terms.

it isn't a discrepancy though, it's because only certain events are fixed points in time, her reign wasn't one of them - and because Ten decided to have a little tantrum he decided to throw away all the good that could have come out of Britain's Golden Era.

It may not have been set in stone, but Nine seemed rather sure it would happen.

Anyway, have I missed round 12, or is RK on vacation?

No you haven't. I was waiting for a reply from the PYCR person and the weekend has been a bit hectic so I haven't had chance to get round to it.

Will try and get it sorted tomorrow.
