Well, yes it's good value but to get 2p/calls you have to pay out £5. Good if you are a moderate user.

The unlimited handset browsing seems good value.

They say you cant tether the handset to a laptop but with FroYo on Android you'll be able to turn the handset into a WiFi hotspot so I doubt if the network will have any way to tell if the handset is being used for tethering. (I have removed the USIM from a handset with unlimited Internet browsing in other countries and used it in a USB dongle with no penalty).

Networks keep an eye on data usage so any sudden and unusual spikes (that would point to tethering) would certainly be noticed.

Thats nice, but I got one of their sim cards and can't get a bloody signal anywhere. What good is a network and the tariffs if you can't use it. Shocking O2 network and its poor ass coverage. Should have piggy backed on the better network.

GiffGaff are owned by O2 so hardly going to use another network to run it on eh?

b*****s

Sorry, but that is not a good way to detect tethering, did you just make that up? where did you get that from? do you work for a mobile network?

There is a much better way than that.

That £5 is for a month, FFS what do you want.
Spend a tenner and get 150 minutes and free texts, thats as good as a contract.
Or, do you want something for nothing, not going to happen.

Well there`s nothing for it my friend you will just have to move house.
Here in Somerset we can get every service provider with a full signal, with the exception of the 3 network, they are hard to get.

I don't want anything, I was just giving an opinion - which was the deal is good if you are a moderate user.
Heavy users would of course just buy the 'unlimited' goodybag.

Well, no I didn't make it up obviously. I'm not randomly plucking crap from nowhere. I simply made a comment on what I presumed made sense - if you tether you're generally going to end up using more data than if you were using the connection for a phone. That might point a network to the fact that you're tethering.

If in your worldly knowledge you know better and that's not true then fine - but I don't appreciate you posting like I'm a clueless moron.
