HTC Desire - Iphone 4 on vodafone

Hi guys
I currently have a HTC Desire on Vodafone, but would like an iPhone 4.
I am willing to pay the cash sum for the iPhone from an Apple store, but if i rang Vodafone would they be happy to send me a small SIM and continue my existing contract (4 months in).
The HTC Desire would go to my partner.

Cheers

Steve

I suspect the best way to get the answer to this question would be to call Vodafone and ask them

Or just cut down your existing sim.

Yes they will send you a microsim

But if you called your provider would they not insist that you move to one of the costly iPhone tariffs.

I only ask as I have thought of buying an iPhone and continuing with my HTC Desire tariff which is £22.50 compared to the iPhone £35 per month tariff.

Why would you want an Iphone if you have a Desire?

I have a Desire, and I know a few at work who have sold on their Iphones, and gone for a Desire (or similar), they are fed up with the iphone being locked down, and everytime they 'jailbreak' it, Apple counter it.

Android is growing by the day, and there are not that many apps that Apple has, that Android don't.......and it's cheaper!

Don't think the OP was after buying advice, there's plenty of other threads here already with the merits of one phone over another.

Its personal preference. Im not overly keen on android, and not a fan of the market place. In addition I have a mac book pro, with mobile me, so would like to have my calendars, contacts and email sent between the devices with ease.

Steve, just go to your local Vodafone store. The staff will give you a microsim, but not activate it for you.
