Tiscali sales staff
I put my details into Tiscali website, in order to get a test for BB and Phone line...
Within minutes of checking this, an agent called me to chat. "Hello there I see you was looking on our website about what we can offer you for your broadband & phone services" He was very high pressure, that is UNTIL I said "yes can you also tell me about the TV services you offer (just to see what happened) as I am interested in taking that out as well.... At that point he more or less couldn't wait to get rid of me... For a laugh I insisted "I am ready to sign up today, and I want the full phone , best broadband package , and the whole TV pack including Sky channels" He said to be honest I dont think it will be available in your area, to which I replied "oh my friend in the next apartment has it (and I used to of course so I knew this was bull!)" Reply: "Sorry sir our system is down please call back another time" I have never known anything like it.. gave me a bit of entertainment though

Doesn't exactly give confidence for the future does it? This service is going to disappear next year I'm certain of it.

I would think they have pinned all their hopes on Canvas launching next year and I would be surprised if they even have any TV boxes to give (apart for spares to exchange with existing customers).
