recording from freesat box

I have always recorded films from a sky + box onto my Archos 5 by using a scart out with red white yellow cable plugged into an Archos dvr snap on. Having replaced my Sky + with a Humax Freesat + HDR, now when I try to record onto my Archos by the same method I get the picture but no sound. Any suggestions would be welcome, Thanks Anne

The hdr has yellow/red/white RCA phono outputs (composite video and stereo analogue audio). All you should need is 3 phono cables.

Thanks very much for the suggestion, but I have tried it that way as well and still its the same as doing it with the scart out. I just get the picture with no sound. Anne

Try turning up the volume using the freesat box remote control

Thanks Graham it works. I hadnt thought of the volume control on the freesat box because I play all the audio through an amplifier. Once again many thanks. Anne
