If I go into the Guide and try to FIND a future program so that I can record it , the box locks up once it displays the 'Searching' box , my only course of action is to power it off at the rear. I have tried this 3 times trying a different program name each time , anyone else have this problem ?

It is because the BBC have turned on a form of encryption on the EPG guide, it is all to do with trying to stop piracy, which of course it doesn't, just honest users suffer!

Other problems related to this are corrupt "info" descriptions and file names in the media list.

Most HD PVRs seem to be struggling one way or another however the Humax is particulary affected by a hard lockup when using 'Find'.

Best thing to do is to monitor these forums or the Humax website for a firmware update. This can then be downloaded onto a USB key (no need to worry about connecting the box to a network), or transmitted over the air where the box will update itself.

Hope that helps.

Nothing rumoured yet. Humax's track record with bugs are they do get fixed, just not very quickly Drop them an email explaining your problem, the more people that complain, the bigger priority it might get.
