Katy does seem to be using Simon's name to garner column inches (always handy when you are peddling your latest album ) but I do kind of like her....and I feel she says all this guff with her tongue firmly in her cheek

I loved Ryan's interview with Piers. They had very similar banter to that with Simon (minus the flirting!). As Ryan pointed out, Simon & Piers are very alike. Seemed to me that the 3 of them have socialised together quite a bit as they were really comfortable and funny with each other.

I don't like that colour on him. He said years ago that a stylist bought him clothes in green and brown, but he hated them. Perhaps this was one of the offenders.

Maybe it's an official announcement? As far as I'm aware, neither of the Smitten Cowel's has publicly announced they are engaged? It's all been rumour and speculation, perpetuated by their numerous showbiz buddies. Simon always dodges any questions with some vague smart alec remark and I think only once, according to a source, Mezghan confirmed it via some obscure gossip American mag/radio

I agree, it's not very likely considering he made another joke this week about the wedding. He seems to bat all questions away. Any story will most likely be speculation fed by Max. I doubt there will be actual quotes from Simon.

The guy who writes the 'Green Room' is Neil Sean and he's not very reliable IMO. He usually pinches stories from internet gossip or doesn't get his facts right. He might have some insider info, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is no story tomorrow.

As an example, he said this week that AGT ratings were suffering just to have a dig at Piers, when in fact the show is still number 1 in it's time slot.

If that shonky column has any sort of "exclusive" it will have been spoon fed to them by Max. The Smitten-Cowells havent been papped together since the Great Gay Holiday Snaps so we are well over due a heavy shovelling of wedding shite.

Did anyone hear Simon on Steve Wright this afternoon? It was a bit of a strange interview - peddling X Factor on the BBC - whatever next?? Anyway, top points were - he isnt ditching the UK for the US, just working to shuffle the schedules to fit in with US XF.
