DSLR Lens question

Recently started experimenting with the lens kit (Tamron 70-300mm) that came with my Sony A330.

I was wondering... Can you buy an adapter that will convert the lens back to 18mm, or is it a case of having to swap lenses for each focal length ?

Paul.

The only type of adapter that I've seen is a multiplier - so your 70-300 would become a 140-600 (or 210-900 with the crop factor).

If you want different focal lengths, you either swap lenses, or buy a super-zoom, ie. 18-200, 28-300, etc. I picked up a Sigma 28-300 last week thats turning out to be a cracking bit of glass, very versatile.
