The Silence - a theory

Hi all, have been thinking about who is behind 'The Silence' for some time and I thought I would share to see what everyone thinks. Please feel free to agree or disagree.

1. It could be Omega. It could be, he was exiled into N-space, or at least a different reality, and he wants to come back. Exploding the TARDIS would provide him with the cracks in time and space to get in. As mentioned in the Vampire episode 'Through some cracks we saw other worlds, through others we saw nothing, just emptiness'. That 'emptiness' could be where Omega was at. Now he is back in our universe. The only problem with this is the character is too much Classic series, but not impossible.

2. It could be The Master. And the TimeLords. The last time we saw them was when they were returned to the Time War. Suppose Rassilon was defeated by The Master, would that not make him the Lord President? Then he could order that his body be restored fully, and the drums be stopped. BUT what if the lack of a drum beat in his head only makes him madder!!! He did ask what he would be without it?? He is already nuts and this could push him further and make him more brilliant, discovering a way to re-wrtie history (que Amy Pond and all the universe in her head).

Right those are my ideas. Have fun!!

Isn't N-space our universe? Omega was sucked into a black hole when he used a supernova to power some time travel experiments. But you're right, he leads a very miserable exstence and has now tried twice to get back (though if he dd that, there is a good chance the universe would explode.)

I really like your Omega theory - it sounds very plausible

I don't know if anyone's heard of this, but I've been told that there was rumour of an Omega costume at one point - is this true?

1) Omega, agreed. i think it's likely. Something can never be too old who for new who. If done well, anything is possible. Apart from the Kandyman. And Mel Bush (just my opinion!!)
2) Nah, too soon after TEOT. If the Master reappear, I think it will be mid-end next season earliest. I think SM will want to avoid replaying some of the RTD ideas for now

SciFiGuy, my own personal choice is that it is the Master , but I do agree with you about the time to reveal it. I personnally think we won't find out till the end of the season after next. This upcoming series might be about River and her relationship with The Doctor

Oh I dunno, there still has to be a big bad, which could somehow be linked to River! Would be a good twist.
