So pleased about the grammy award im so proud
welcome back linny missed you, ment to ask adam to do shout out to you but in my giggling mess i forgot
off to order ep now and general catch up, hi to all the newbies to the thread lovely to hear your thoughts and experiences of all things adam
Welcome back

I thought Neil was really funny I think he may have lost our pics though like he did the ones from Paris, as they're still not up Tbh I don't mind because I'm dreading mine, but it'd be a shame for everyone else - I'm looking forward to seeing yours, Adam had a very silly grin on his face lol

I can't remember if they're shown live. I remember we were watching the red carpet last time around, but not sure if there was a link to the actual awards.
I've done a bit of googling and it seems they are shown live. I also found this link from this year, so hopefully they'll stream it again here or if not, there's bound to be somewhere. I'm excited already

Where will the pics be posted? Will Neil be posting them somewhere or will you guys be posting them?

Thanks for finding the streaming link, if I remember rightly the red carpet started around 3 or 4pm PST, so around 11pm ish for us? Looks as though it could be an all-nighter

Could be interesting

I wonder if he'll just wear a quite normal(ish) dapper suit/tux, or go for something a bit more edgy....what will his hair be like by then.....conservative make-up...?

From some of the Twitters yesterday, the speculation has already started and will probably be into a frenzied overdrive by February

Linny the photos are posted on the fanclub site. I'm not going to link as mine is awful and I'd rather not plaster it everywhere lol, but as you know me and loveambert I'm sure you can find us

Happy Birthday Twizzy!!

I haven't signed up on to the fansite since the initial free registration I'll have to sign up to see the pics won't I?

I love the name of the Knitting Factory if you didn't know what it was to do with. You'd think it was the last place you'd expect to find Adam and Monte at

If you check this link out for throwing glitter and scroll down the page, you'll see amongst the various images, a couple of pictures of Adam and Tommy and one is of them eating each other LMAO

Just checked Adam's Myspace blog post, which confirms the Grammys will air from 8pm EST, so 1am for us.

There's an interview with Adam in the Hollywood Reporter, talking about his Grammy nomination:

Nice little mention in Hollywood News about Adam's reps trying to get a performance slot on the Grammy's

Regardless of whether he will perform, February 13 will be a huge night for Lambert, a star who finds himself on a consistent upwards trajectory.

I have to laugh at the number of articles picking up on Adam's comment about Joe McElderrey.

Little busy this weekend, but the grammynews def. made my day.

Slight remark though Justin Bieber is up for new act, but Adam isn't ? Should have been two nominations imo, but maybe I'm too greedy Anyway, always happy when the - so painfully obvious - talent of Mr. Lambert is recognised.

I hope he wins the grammy, maybe he will get some recognition in Belgium afterwards...
I'm a bit tired to come accross as this huge fangirl everytime I get the reaction ' Adam Lambert, who?! '
I always have to explain my motives to be completely in awe/adoration for the losing finalist of AI two years ago... If he wins, it will be much easier for me to convince ppl of his talent ("he's a grammywinner, you know")

I found it quite annoying that those UK articles had made a fuss about Adam's comments on Joe, but not about news of Adam's first ever Grammy nomination.

I agree with you, Jana_M! IMHO, Adam should have received at least two nominations - 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Male Pop Vocal Performance'. Adam always sing live, he never mimes, he can dance, he can sing many genres of music brilliantly; he is an amazing live performer, a phenomenal vocalist, and a rare talent.

You can tell ppl that Adam is not just an 'American Idol runner-up', he is now a 'Grammy nominated artist'!

Adam's Acoustic Live EP is now available on UK itunes, for anyone who missed the physical CD or also wants a digital copy!

I love the versions of Aftermath and Soaked and also WWFM that they've chosen....so happy to have good quality live recordings to listen to. Nothing beats Adam singing live for me!

Went to see Adam in Glasgow, cant believe it is a week ago! His voice was amazing and it was absolutely fab to see him but i have to say overall something was missing from his performance, i don't know if he was tired but he only spoke 3-4 times and it was like as quick as he could get off the stage - just my opinion and is still love him????

Well he was full of beans at Shepherd's Bush His voice was outstanding especially on 'Soaked' never heard something so beautifully sung Downloaded the EP from Itunes and love it. Still think the version of Soaked he sang at Shepherd's Bush was the best ever though.

Just been listening to Soaked from live ep. Wouldn't it be amazing if he could sing this live at the grammys. It has been fine tuned from months of touring it shows off his voice to magnificent perfection. If he dosent win the grammy but performs this song live it will show everyone why he should have won and why everyone else are mere mortals

I bought the EP today, and it is just gorgeous And bloody cheap! I was expecting to pay about £6!!

I agree mattey and Twizzy, Soaked is absolutely beautiful and swoony, and of course, Afternath is also swoooony I like that WWFM and MA have been included from his promo tour, as they were really good, it's nice to have the tracks from different sources. A shame that Sleepwalker wasn't on there, but I can't be too greedy I guess

Did anyone get an actual physical copy from AO? Did anyone get any spare copies.....?

I think if he were to perform at the Grammys he would most likely sing WWFM, and if he did it a cappella then that would certainly show off his stunning voice. And yep, thus proving, that everyone else are just mere mortals and cannot possibly compare with a glittery alien

I wonder if he'll take one of his family to the Grammys? I'm sure he'd love to share the occasion with one of them. Or maybe Monte, seeing as he's been a long-standing friend, and has now got to share in his success.

I don't because for once I can't criticise his taste in men.

But these things are as sales based as they are quality based. If the album had sold better he may well have been nominated for best new artist and for the male category and for the album as well. If WWFM hadn't gone platinum it wouldn't have been nominated, regardless of the quality of his vocal performance.

Sony were hoping that sales in the UK would have been good enough for him to be nominated for the international categories at the Brits but that's not going to happen.
