Daily Mail article on the EMAs, talks all about Lady GaGa but has a nice pic of Adam and Brian.

Was just about to say that at least they got his name right, but have just spotted that they've called him Adan

Incredible performance. Dean Piper wasn't exaggerating when he said he'd been told it would be jaw dropping.

This video has been taken down now - in fact, a fair few have been - but here's another link for anyone who hasn't been able to 'save' the other one for posterity

Adam and Queen

Great to see tweets today from journos and music TV peeps who've met with Adam and have been listening to some of his new album tracks and loving what they've heard.

A bit late to the party but wow! What a performance.

Really impressed by the reaction of so many neutrals and newbies to Adam but of course there always has to be those who can't bring themselves to admit what they can see and hear. Some of them are even masquerading as Queen fans but from what they say, they so clearly are not. It's hilarious.

It seems that only people who didn't like this performance are Queen fans. At least that's what i noticed reading some forums.

There are Queen fans that have applauded the performance, but of course there are always those that will 'hate' I think what the 'haters' need to comprehend is that Adam wasn't trying to be Freddie.. he was paying homage to a band that he has admired forever.. I just hope the EMA performance now propels Adam to where he so deserves to be.

I cant tell you how many times I have watched it My husband who is a die hard Queen fan and who I thought would have hated it watched it 5 times in a row, and could only say that Adam as the only person that could do that performance..

One thing, they started playing Under Pressure and then that seemed to be cut.. any one got any inside info on that?

Hi Tinkle Twizzy Linny & All!

Great to see all of you. One thing this shows is that we are fans for life-Bravo! Still on cloud 9 since EMA and on repeat listening. Can't get no satisfaction as my friend Mick use to say LOL.

Promotion seems on the right track this time. Change of management may have done the tirck. Lets hope BBC are open aand ready this time. My gut says its going to be a remarkable Era for our BB.

Well, hope your day is super in whatever you are doing.

Hello! I feel like such a rare poster on this site these days, particularly on appreciation threads.

If you read what most of them are actually saying, it's easy to see they're not Queen fans at all and many of them don't know the first thing about Queen or Freddie.

Of course there are going to be Queen fans who aren't going to have liked it but they are the type who wouldn't like it if Jesus Christ walked among us, found out he had a singing voice and had stepped into Freddie's shoes. No one is good enough for some of them and that's understandable. Most of the comments however are very evidently from the things said either the usuals who plague everything Adam ever does or fans of other artists who they think should have been up there instead of Adam. They can pretend to be Queen fans but they mostly give themselves away eventually. Some of the criticisms being made by them about Adam and/or his performance are not criticisms that any Freddie fan would make because they know it'd be a criticism of Freddie himself.

Under Pressure was rehearsed with the possibility of getting another guest vocalist to do the Bowie sections. It seems the programme that brings up the written music for the guitars, keyboards, drums, etc, (the modern day version of sheet music) and includes some pre-recorded instrumentation wasn't programmed properly and the first few bars of it were left in. This is where the talk of Katy Perry and the approach to Lady Gaga comes from. Certain sections of the media have decided to embellish those stories beyond recognition of what actually happened and it's a shame because the way they are depicting it takes a little shine off Adam's moment.

As if Gaga would have turned a set with Queen down Particularly as she was only doing one song herself and it wasn't exactly just before Queen's performance. "to concentrate on performing her single" ....... yeah OK! The producers would have liked Katy to do it but I think Brian and Roger have seen enough of her performing live to know that being a fan is not enough reason to be able to pull off an artist's songs.
