Hello! I feel like such a rare poster on this site these days, particularly on appreciation threads.

If you read what most of them are actually saying, it's easy to see they're not Queen fans at all and many of them don't know the first thing about Queen or Freddie.
Of course there are going to be Queen fans who aren't going to have liked it but they are the type who wouldn't like it if Jesus Christ walked among us, found out he had a singing voice and had stepped into Freddie's shoes. No one is good enough for some of them and that's understandable. Most of the comments however are very evidently from the things said either the usuals who plague everything Adam ever does or fans of other artists who they think should have been up there instead of Adam. They can pretend to be Queen fans but they mostly give themselves away eventually. Some of the criticisms being made by them about Adam and/or his performance are not criticisms that any Freddie fan would make because they know it'd be a criticism of Freddie himself.

Under Pressure was rehearsed with the possibility of getting another guest vocalist to do the Bowie sections. It seems the programme that brings up the written music for the guitars, keyboards, drums, etc, (the modern day version of sheet music) and includes some pre-recorded instrumentation wasn't programmed properly and the first few bars of it were left in. This is where the talk of Katy Perry and the approach to Lady Gaga comes from. Certain sections of the media have decided to embellish those stories beyond recognition of what actually happened and it's a shame because the way they are depicting it takes a little shine off Adam's moment.
As if Gaga would have turned a set with Queen down

Particularly as she was only doing one song herself and it wasn't exactly just before Queen's performance. "to concentrate on performing her single" ....... yeah OK! The producers would have liked Katy to do it but I think Brian and Roger have seen enough of her performing live to know that being a fan is not enough reason to be able to pull off an artist's songs.
