Unfortunately, I cannot agree. Don't get me wrong, I think Adam Lambert is an exceptional performer, with one of the best voices of his generation. But, the second album is very, very disappointing.
There are a couple of standout tracks which are acceptable, but nothing that really equals his talent. I had hoped and expected to get an album of songs as good as 'Whaddya Want From Me'. Be they written by himself or other peeps. What I got, was overproduced gay disco, more often than not with his voice too far back in the mix, and songs that simply were not memorable. Where are the great hook lines, where are the great guitar or synth solos? Where are the ideas?
I think he's got one more chance to deliver, and if he can't or won't make an album something like Aladdin Sane for today, then this very bright star may burn out.
