Doubt it, she's a politician, far too thick skinned.

I know a lot of politicians - trust me, they can still feel nerves!

She can handle it. She has a great sense of humour and is a very strong lady. Having met her I have nothing but respect for the woman. She's fab

I'll second that!

I just watched the video of her on BBC Breakfast and i have to say i really liked her, she has a great attitude and it sounded like she does have a good sense of humour. No i didn't want her on it but she's on it so that's that, but i now have a feeling i am going to like her

I'm afraid that because I don't like her I don't find her funny (I'm a little too judgemental for my own good I think!), so I'm still not massively looking forward to it.

However, it really annoyed me when people refused to give Heather Mills a fair go on Dancing on Ice because they didn't like her, so I'm going to make an effort!

Always puzzles me - How can you dislike someone you have never met and know hardly anything about??

Easily - based on her voting record.

No, I've decided I'm going to be nice - she doesn't look terribly enthusiastic but I'd wager she's probably more nervous than she's letting on.”

I can't tempt you with an "Anne 2 Win!" banner and badge then Zan?

No thanks Sid - as much as I want to give her a fair crack of the whip I can't pretend I particularly want to see her rumba. Or jive. Or showdance!

I was lucky enough to get tickets to the launch show and the picture on antons face was hilarious when he realised he had her as a partner. Vincent and him were standing together opposite Anne and Felicity and i swear Vincent looks terrified as they waited to find out, he got Felicity and Anton just wanted to die. It was a bit like at school with the poor fat kid that nobody wanted was left at the end of a team pick. And she really does limp quite badly, a good fast latin dance and it's all over

From memory I don't think any celeb has walked without good reason but I agree we may have our first quitter in Ann or Paul or both

Im very surprised she would do a show like this or indeed that she was asked - could be a very brief trainwreck.

Anne looks so sad. I think it would be kinder to put her to sleep.

It's a further illustration of the shape of things at the BEEB that they're simply not prepared to pay for the best celebrities as they have the likes of Billy Connolly's wife, Widdecombe, Goldie and some bloke called Jimi Mistry this year. Only Alesha's hair extensions will be worth watching this year.

Jimi Mistry is a Hollywood actor, not exactly scrapping the barrel

Actually this is the first year were I have only had to look up the soap actors and even then I knew who they were when I saw their pics, think it's a pretty decent line-up.

In terms of awkwardness, I'd say Gavin Henson looked seriously uncomfortable.

Anne Widdecombe is obviously the John Sergeant of the series, but I honestly think she doesn't care. She'll give it a go, but any unkindness will be water off a ducks back. She will not take it to heart and won't take it too seriously.

(I just knew she would get Anton. He must have been one bad boy in a past life.)

She knows she is in it for the short term and tell you what, all power to her elbow that lady has balls of steel to go on that show and knwingly be publicly ridiculed by everyone, which is what will happen and I am guilty of thinking the same

But then again, she vowed after it was over that she'd never go on the show again because she'd objected to some of the jokes, so she's not THAT easy-going. There was a very revealing interview with her by Laurie Taylor on Sky Arts a few weeks ago: it showed how she so expects criticism and sarcasm she instinctively reacts to it, even when it's not there. At one point Taylor praised her for something, and she started attacking him before she realised what he'd actually said. That'll be her problem now - she needs to relax a bit and not think every single thing is some form of put-down. If she can do that she'll at least have some fun.
