9300 Whistle

I have a 9300 and recently it has started to emit a high pitched sound sometimes. Its not loud but, of course, once you notice it you can't ignore it.
I assume its associated with the disc but I don't actually know that.
Anyone else noticed the same or has any suggestions?

It's very common with switch mode power supplies that use a high frequency, some just squeal. It might come and go with temperature changes or what the box is doing.

It might disappear completely given time as the components age further and so resonated differently.

Usually it doesn't indicate a pending failure.

Of course if it is disturbing you will need to speak to Humax or return it to the shop for an exchange.

Regards

Phil
