I was thinking it was one of the Specials. If i remember rightly, Robin Hood got shifted to a Sunday for some reason and therefore they had to show Doctor Who and that together that weekend.

I really liked the third doctor, but I like all of them, so I'm not very representative.”

Nah, I'm not the fan-fiction-fabricating sort. Besides, I'm more of a Billy Hartnell man myself.

It was Easter Saturday 2009!

5.10 FILM: Finding Nemo
6.45 Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead
7.45 Robin Hood
8.30 In It To Win It
9.20 Casualty
10.10 News
10.30 Match of the day

Robin Hood was shown on a Sunday the week after the finale episode due to Wimbledon shunting it to BBC2 and viewers complaining!

Yep, that was it! Thanks for that!!!

So getting back to the orginal point, if the BBC wanted to show Merlin and Doctor Who back to back, I'd have no problem with it at all, but I get the feeling they won't do that and will move Merlin, don't know where yet. My thoughts on this subject before were perhaps they'd show it in between the two parts of Series 6, which is a possibility.

Unless they do the unthinkable and cut Merlin's series to 8 episodes and screen it directly after DW finishes. After all Lark Rise to Candleford has already been cut from 12 episodes in series 3 to just 6 in series 4!

Or maybe they'll split Merlin in 2 as well......

Hey! That's not his blog (not a blog at all, actually, but an old fashioned WEB PAGE. It's *my* Third Doctor site. And thank you CoalHill for the reference, and thanks to those of you who stopped by!

Loved how that link was so appropriate! Made me chuckle last night. Good page on your demo of martial arts at a Who convention. (Especially the slight exasperation at everyone enjoying the "how not to" example.) No Venusion Aikido moves though? I couldn't help noticing you are deficient in the arm dept for that, so quite understandable if it's not a speciality.

Thanks for saying hello

Ah well, and thank you for the invitation! Oh wait, there was no invitation. Well, never mind that. I believe the original question was about doctors not striking our fancy. I like Pertwee best, then Trouton, then Hartnell. I do like the first three seasons of TBaker, and then I don't like anything. In fact, after Tom Baker, I don't even know which companions go with which Doctor, except I know Ace goes with the seventh Doctor.

In the new series, I liked Christ Eccleston a lot and felt that Doctor Who has truly returned, but that was short-lived. Even though I like David Tenant, I felt like this was no longer DOCTOR WHO. Matt Smith looks like he's still in grade school. I have not even watched the current (or latest) series.

And speaking of unrelated notes, I did hire Caroline John to read two of the Gospels for an audio project. You can hear her reading all of Gospel of Mark, for free, and download it if you like:

http://www.jeriwho.net/bible/mark.html

I'm not trying to advertise (as I make no profit,) but as some of you are Third Doctor era fans, you might like to download a reading from Caroline John, and she does do a beautiful job. Her husband, Geoffrey Beevers, unofficially directed.
