Anyone remember Simon Amstell's quip about Tess being literally dead behind the eyes?

I had only heard it first when Tess said it to Austen as well.


I seem to remember Austen going along with it for so long, but as the competition went on looked really bored. When he was being interviewed looked like he was thinking
'don't say it, please don't say it' and sure enough she would.

Sadly I don't think Gavin will get to week 1 without looking like he is about to have a nervous breakdown when she asks again.

What Kenny Logan? He had guns. Horrible phrase. I hope she doesn't go on about guns too much this series.

Maybe she'll start asking them to whip out their pistols instead

Didn't Austin actually refuse to play along when he came back that one week last year? I have a vague memory of laughing as Tess asked him to get his "guns" out one last time and he flatly refused. Gavin did look acutely uncomfortable, though. Poor guy! I imagine he'll bear the brunt of that this year, unless Tess decides to go for the new male pros as well as the contestants.

I have to admit, I'd never heard the word before Tess either. I remember being distinctly confused (and a little worried!) the first time she addressed Austin that way.

Gavin Henson is a manscaped veteran of beefcake photos - it's probably in his contract that they have to say stuff like that. The idea that he's some sort of shrinking violet unaccustomed to living off his physique is hilarious.

From what I've read here, Gavin is already worried about his becoming cocked!!

But then there's the worry that he'll go off half-cocked which wouldn't be terribly impressive.

Haha indeed or maybe he should just gag her!?

If he went off half-cocked he'd be a big disappointment to his partner.
