I think he was just concentrating so hard on not getting a woody

Not acording to Vincent and Flavia! Their newsletter this evening said the only pairing the pros had guessed correctly was Paul and Ola!!! Which explains Ola's calm reaction anyway, she'd guessed and so had time to prepare herself!”

I'm surprised the pros didn't guess the Anton and Ann pairing. I think most of us here on DS expected that and it wouldn't surprise me if we were to learn that most Strictly viewers shared that expectation.

Of all the pairings the Anton/Ann is the one I would have put money on.

Godie is, potentially, good - DJ, breakdancer, did the Maestro programme on the BBC so has a great understanding of music, rhythms and beats, if she can teach he is potentially someone who could be arround when the competition really kicks in.

I think Erin was hoping the producers would be a little less predictable this year, but as soon as she knew Peter Shilton was in the lineup she knew he was coming her way as surely as a cat knows a thunderstorm is on the way.

I think you mean a cow.
Not Erin, the cat bit.

Flavia said on Breakfast this morning they'd got that one down to between Anton and Vincent - it was the height issue that made them think it could be Vincent...

I don't think she can win it either, but I really, really hope they at least get to Blackpool!

They're training in New York, so they're bound to have a great studio to train in. Poor James having to go so far away for 2 weeks (doubt he knew that would happen when they were paired up!), and Ola having to train Paul at the same time. He tweeted that he's going to miss her loads and they've never been apart for so long. It must be strange having to go and train in another country! An adventure too though. Proves the idea that the pros literally have to go wherever their celebs say!!

I thought Kara looked the most disappointed with her partner. I know she wanted James and I wonder if she thinks being with a new pro will spoil her chances. I also don't think Matt was overjoyed at being paired with Aliona.

The couple that looked the happiest seemed to be Michelle and Brendan. Think this could be a really fun pairing.

I though Karas's partner looked devastated he wasn't paired with Gavin!

I think you've got that one right! Have you seen their training video - she's just a bit mad!

You could well be right that that's what she was thinking, but that does make me smile. I don't necessarily think that James is unpopular any more, but he has had an uncanny tendency to go out earlier than almost anyone would have predicted, going on past form.

Now he'll get to do the dead-deer lift with someone who has only one chin!

You do have a point. I was thinking is he overcompensating by putting on a couldn't care less attitude.
