Oh dear! I have just posted in another thread saying how I am starting to feel sorry for him too, Peter E, - he just looks sooooo uncomfortable. But then again sofakat is probably right - I'm just an old softy!!!

Don't hold your breath hun! I think he's going to be even more wooden than Calzaghe if you can imagine such a thing! I really like him as a person, I think he's not at all like his image, but he's going to be an excruciating dancer.

i think he's alll froth & no substance in the dance stakes. Hopefully his partner will bring him out of his shell. I think around week 3 or 4 things will probably fall into place for him.

I don't know about shy. Watching his interview was like watching paint dry. He seems really drippy to me.

By chance I caught an interview with him on BBC News (in the Sports section) where he quite openly said he didn't want to do Strictly at all but because of problems with his rugby career (don't know what they are - sorry! ), he 'had to' participate ...

If he didn't want to do is then he is doing us a disservice by taking part. If this is a publicity stunt then all I can say is it is not going too well so far.

Interesting to contemplate he was married to Charlotte Church and she named him as the baddie. This after all her drunken notoriety and the likelihood that betrayal has too many syllables for him.

First impression is of a 13 year old Tarzan, fresh in from the jungle after socialising with the wrong apes.

He does seem to be starting from zero, as he didn't offer Katya his arm, and when she did take it, he continued to hang his arm like a gorilla until she folded it for him.

Katya will do everything possible to get him toward dancing like Austin, but she's ideal for the task, and he may improve a lot on the show and not just at dancing.

From what I saw of him during the group dance this guy will have to learn fast to even move his feet & arms.
