This is Aliona it could be the waltz.

But would think it's young men to cha-cha, old duffers to waltz.
Clearly not - Paul is doing the cha cha!

Could be.

I think we may be in for 3 weeks of teasing on this.
They'll need to keep up the suspense after all

Thanks. Will it always be like that? Or will it go back to Saturday and Sunday the week after?

I'm not really a big Strictly fan, but the line-up looks pretty good this year.

After the Friday/Saturday start it will be a regular Saturday/Sunday routine. It is a good line up isn't it?!

Well we are getting training footage of all of them over the next couple of weeks, so we'll know before the Friday show who's dancing what - unless they're so bad it's impossible to tell if they're doing cha cha or waltz!

So even the ones who are being secretive on twitter won't be able to do so for the whole 2 weeks! This time 2 weeks they'll be in studio rehearsals

There is supposed to be a new training video up today and tomorrow, so we might find out more then.

Is the new one Goldie's? He looks better than I thought he would - there's a fair bit of potential there once he stops mucking about.

No - that was up on Tuesday. Michelle and Brendan was Monday's clip. Hope Goldie does stop mucking about!

From Jared tweeting about John Mayer's music the other day, I would guess he and Tina are waltzing...

That video of Matt and Aliona is a bit rubbish.......doesnt really show anything apart from them putting their arms out in a cha cha cha sort of way !!! you would think they could have shown their legs aswell !!

Tonight's training clip was a bit of a non event.

I accept that training is actually less fun than we imagine - lots of concentrating, going over steps again and again, but I'm sure they could have done better than what they put together for us!

Can I ask - is it definite that the couples are doing just one dance for the first week? As it's over two nights, they're not doing one ballroom and one latin (waltz and cha cha) like last year?

Friday and Saturday the couples will take to the floor 7 on Fri, 7 on Sat with 1 dance, Waltz or Cha-Cha-Cha. Saturday 9th, all 14 take to the floor for second dances and then Sunday is results and first elimination with the first one to leave having done a Ballroom and Latin. This is what I've heard, I think this is what's going to occur!

Well they did use their very first rehearsal to take that footage from, and they've been training all week since, you'd think they could have used Wednesday's footage in that and it might have been a bit better!

Didn't really expect her to get anything other than the waltz, although I reckon Felicity will be waltzing too and will do a much better job of it!

A waltz would suit Ann better.

Did you know that Florence Henderson is on DWTS this season with Corky Ballas as her partner. She is 76 and doing a cha cha for her first dance. It will be interesting to compare her with Ann as far as how well they do.
