I think so and they are doing a much better job of that than usual!

I also find the idea quite ridiculous that Ann is the new Jordan. Personally I think Ann has discovered quite late in life, the pleasure of trying new things.

Just commenting on Florence Henderson. I've seen her training diary for her CCC in Week1 and she looks really good. Actually not bad and I think she could surprise us. Lets hope!

It was their first training session - give them a chance!

I did not want to derail the thread with Florence but I thought it interesting to compare her to Ann. Granted Florence is not overweight (ahem I saw Ann's bosom) but she is older than Ann. I agree, Florence looked good and I thought she was keeping up with Corky.

I don't think anyone is criticising Matt or Aliona - it is the content that people are complaining about. In the videos of Michelle & Brendan and Goldie & Kristina, there was more footage of actual training rather than chat.

1/2 hour programme with Gav on last night onn BBC2 Wales. They asked him about Strictly right at the end, and he did the waltz hold.

PS It is a very enlightening interview - it's not that often you hear someone speaking so honestly and openly.

Gav drives me nuts, but it was nice to see somebody with so little media training. Honesty is rare these days

Back in the day when the order of dances learnt was predictable, you could safely bet a waltz in week 1 meant a rumba in week 2. I'm hoping this is true for A&A!

More hints that Gavin's doing the waltz - bbcstrictly just posted a pic of him and Katya in training on Twitter, and look like waltz movement to me, plus Katya has ballroom shoes on

Aliona looks great and seems to be good at explaining what she wants. Its their first day, so Matt looks a little under pressure - he may loosen up over time.

Paul and Ola training vid is up now, but not much of note except he is getting closer to pronouncing her name right. Its going to take the whole 3 weeks, but he is smart, so that might help him learn.

He's got himself in a bit of a pickle really, so I like the fact he is being so up front by doing that interview - it could open lines of communication for him. He went up a bit in my estimation and laughed at his response about his waltz! I wonder just how bad it will be? I can see his nerves now!

Found the link now. I actually really like Paul and Ola's training vid, the best one yet I think for getting an idea of the rapport between celeb and pro as well as giving a bit of an idea of what Paul could potentially do, although of course that was only first day's rehearsals.

Scott and Natalie could do quite a good waltz I think, although their training video wasn't the most interesting. Nice to hear more from Natalie though, it's good to see the pros getting a chance to chat about what they're doing

Quite impressed by Paul on that clip and love Ola's enthusiasm. I might have to eat my words about Paul.

Gavin is definitely doing the Waltz (it is clear from that BBC2 interview mentioned earlier).

I would bet that Peter and Erin are doing the waltz - it looks like seven waltzing and seven doing the cha cha - and i reckon it will be split between the girls and the guys. We have already got 4/7 guys doing the cha cha - so based on that Peter and Erin could well be on the waltz

If the story about Kara is true that she lost a week training due to doing the samba before I am assuming that she is doing the cha cha cha how would doing a latin dance help with a Waltz??

These pictures of Felicity and Vincent lead me to believe theirs is a waltz.
