Coincidentally, on the SCD calendar this month, the dance is Jive and the couple, Cola

(Just thought I'd share this with you all - it is the 'silly season' after all )

The producers may rejigg the dance running order in those cases where they think - however erroneously - that certain couples should be 'promoted'. The Jive is something of a deal breaker, more so that the rhumba early on.

I think Ola's costume is quite nice, but I can't watch the dance. Why couldn't it have been Cola's Charleston instead?

It's definitely Foxtrot for the ballroom week 2, still no hints from anyone who's doing Ballroom week 1 what their Latin is though....

You're right in that some of the best very early jives have been done by the greatest dancers - but I think some of my examples showed that even the best can be undone by doing it early.

Jimi and Flavia are doing Foxtrot training today, Jimi said so on Twitter yesterday. And Aliona and Matt were talking Foxtrot songs on Twitter the other day and she said they had the one she wanted. Both of those couples are doing cha cha in week 1, so they're ballroom in week 2.
