And we know Kara and Artem are doing Cha Cha, so that leaves Tina & Jared and Peter & Erin both doing the Waltz

Felicity and Vincent are definitely doing the cha cha cha from that footage. The bit which gives them the appearance of being in ballroom hold is actually a move called the natural top.

The only bit I was confused by was when Vincent mentioned a brush step, though they weren't actively dancing at the time. I would associate that with a ballroom dance - but the footage may have spliced in a section when he was looking ahead to other dances.

That footage could have been over different days!!!

There's about three changes of outfit. Which could (I suppose) be used during one day, but not in 1.5 minutes!!!

From what I gather from Jimi and Flavia's tweets, couples are rehearsing both their Latin and Ballroom numbers in the lead up to the first couple of weeks.

So the pictures can be a bit misleading with regards to what dance a couple is performing first.

This could also be something for the CCC as Ive done something in CCC which includes a brush step.

Well their latin is definitely the cha cha judging by that, so they're doing that first because cha cha is not the Latin for the second week. So the ballroom bits must be from their Foxtrot...

Vincent did not actually say 'brush step'!

He said 'you're not closing, you are brushing'; which is completely different. He could have been explaining the way you brush your feet into the floor in a forward latin walk or during the natural top when one foot crosses in front of the other, but does not close. Ofcourse I could be totally wrong.

It did not look like ballroom to me.

I wonder why Tina's and Peter's videos aren't up yet?
They're cutting it a bit fine with only 3 days to go.

Flavia was asked on Twitter yesterday or the day before and said she didn't even know yet, so no-one knows.

So....

do we think the fact that on Twitter, James and Ola (and their celebs) and Jared (by the sounds of it on Twitter) are heading to the BBC today mean that they are definitely dancing on Friday night or is that everyone to the BBC?

I feel sorry for those with tickets for Friday or Saturday as the weather forecast is terrible!

Well James said he might see Jimi and Goldie there, but Jimi & Flavia are clearly training on their own...maybe people just have different times to have a rehearsal in the studio and no-one's entirely sure who's going to be there when!

Haha bbcstrictly have just posted a weather warning on Twitter too...

ETA: Are people supposed to get emails if they haven't got tickets as well as if they have? I applied for the 9th, but I haven't heard anything yet...and I remember reading that people got rejection emails for the first weekend's shows...

I imagine it will be mixed- boys and girls, waltz and cha cha. Don't think they would risk an entire of show of just waltzes as people would soon switch off! They might split it into boys and girls but I doubt it.

Does anyone know if they are going to announce who is dancing on which show? And if so how it's been decided? As I recall, last year there was a draw with Camilla presiding over it, which was filmed so we could see it for ourselves. Something tells me they might save the higher profile couples for Saturday. Then again, it is on at 6pm which I don't think will guarantee it a high audience.

if the people who are at TVC today are the ones dancing on Friday, then it's mixed, because Pamela & Tina are waltzing and Paul is doing cha cha..

The BBC have said they're not going to announce who's dancing on which show (it's a surprise for Friday), and as of a couple of days ago, the pros didn't know.
