Michelle annoys me, and that interview was really bad! Not a fan I'm afraid, but i have enough favourites this series already!

She mentions waltzing around the room but they are clearly rehearsing the Cha cha, how strange, we may get a surprise tomorrow night then.

Bless little Jared in his glasses.

We couldn't have one wrong, we've seen all the videos! Paul & Ola, Jimi & Flavia, Michelle & Brendan, Kara & Artem, Matt & Aliona, Felicity & Vincent and Goldie & Kristina have all confirmed they're doing cha cha, and now Jared & Tina have too!

The only explanation would be that cha cha is the Latin dance for both weeks, but the ballroom is different for next week, so you'd think they'd change the Latin too. Maybe it's because they learnt some cha cha for the group dance that they think it's only fair to let everyone do the cha cha as their first Latin dance.....

Isnt it possible that the couples have been left to decide what they wanted to do coz it looks like the Waltzes are coming from those couples where the celeb might struggle in Latin or where the pros obviously prefer ballroom?

I think its quite possible that it might be unequal and if its only one out it would only be 8 CCCs to 6 waltzes - not that unequal ???

I seem to remember it happening in a prior year (but cant remember which one)?

bump the list:

Cha Cha Cha
Jimi and Flavia
Paul and Ola
Goldie and Kristina
Michelle and Brendan
Matt and Aliona
Felicity and Vincent
Kara and Artem
Tina and Jared

Waltz
Scott and Natalie
Ann and Anton
Gavin and Katya
Patsy and Robin
Pamela and James
Peter and Erin

From this list you would have assumed that Anton, Erin and Natalie would do ballroom if given the choice which left Katya/Robin and James to probably come to the conclusion that they were probably better starting with a ballroom as Pamela and Patsy might have struggled with Latin at the start (although you would have assumed Felicity and Vincent might also have started with a waltz) and I think although young, Gavin is DEFINITELY going to struggle with the quick ones!

Just off the top of my head there was a week last year with 7 jives and 5 Vienneses. Mostly they keep the numbers balanced, but sometimes they tilt by one or two off-balance.

I like Michelle too

Yes she can be a bit over the top but I'd take that over the blandness of some of the contestants we had last year.

She's kinda funny and she's competitive which means we're most probably going to see some great dancing from her. She wants this.

If one day is latin and one day is ballroom - maybe it is unequal due to the length given of each show.

eg Ballroom on Friday [shorter show so only 5 couples] - Latin on Saturday [longer show so 7 couple]

I hope the viewers get to see how naturally funny she is - listening to her puts a smile on my face!

Jared says it is a Cha Cha, so I thing Tina was just being general about 'waltzing around the room'.

What a little cutie Jared is!

There's only a 5 minute difference in the length of the shows, so I don't think that's possible, especially as Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow are performing on the slightly longer Sat show and Bruce will probably give them a long introduction

Plus that would mean 7 cha chas in a row - not even the BBC would be that silly to put the same dance 7 times in a row.....

Talking of 7 cha-cha-chas in a row, I was at a university comp a couple of years ago which had 14 heats of beginner cha followed by 14 heats of beginner jive. So for each dance they played the same piece of music 14 times in a row

Maybe they have put 8 dancers doing cha cha cha because then each episode can start and finish with an upbeat song:
4 cha cha chas and 3 waltzes in order C W C W C W C.

Surely it's going to be 4 cha cha's and 3 waltzes on each show. That's the way I always thought it was going to be so this list makes perfect sense.

Yep, been in that situation myself in an inter-collegiate dance competition, gets very repetitive! Hence why I shudder at the thought of 7 cha chas in a row!

I think you're right about that dance order

I wonder how they have decided who is dancing what night as we haven't heard about a draw this year.

Looking at the list of celebs doing the Cha cha, alot of them are the ones who (i think anyway) have potential to be really good so it will be interesting to see which order they go in the leaderboard.
