Why the waste of space BBC?

Why have allowed a Tory MP to mess up a great show ?

She has been given a great dancer that is to tall and will make it look a mess to start with ?

She could hardly get down the stair case on Saturday, so how is going to be able to dance with good movements and they is no way the man would be able to pick her up in any good movement to the music.

The shots of her dance on Saturday showed that she well not be able dance at all at level to stay in the show any longer then one week, if she does then the show will be a full joke.

BBC how much has she been paid for this by our money when she has had lots from being an MP for years ?

BBC have you been kissing up to the Tories now they are in power ??

The show to me is for people that fit to move, to try and put movement to music of the night in grace etc....
And to see if a person not known for there dancing to try and match a real dancer in a nice vision of movement and sounds and fill the dancing floor, but the speed of her she will take to long to visit all areas of the floor with grace....

I hope that the BBC person who allowed this waste of a place is sacked and BBC puts out press that it was not a kissing up to the Tories and that will not get another MP or ex MP into the show again as they have been paid highly for other work by us.

Well ,. you have remote control , I am sure you could find something else to watch by flicking the channels, failing that a good book or a crossward should keep you happy till its over .That way you dont have to get stressed out at all .Win win situation all round then .

DWTS has had a politician, so guess Strictly is simply following suit. And Ann has as much right as anyone else I guess. As for her partner - even if she manages a waltz (even John S managed a half decent waltz) I doubt if she will manage to master the art of Latin, so it stands to reason she should have a partner who can't do Latin either!

It's all very macabre OP.

Am I allowed to state an opinion that I think the OP's post is a bit of an overreaction on many fronts .........?

She's the comic relief, of course, this year's John Sergeant.

We have hopeless contestants every year, what's the big deal with this one?

They don't actually have a Tory MP they have an conservative ex-MP.

Ann has probably been paid a lot less by 'us' than some of the others that are on there.....

Sorry you wont be watching.....turn the light off when you leave the forum to save energy thanks.

Hey, this is a TV show and not political platform. Really. I am sure Alan Whitwhateverthingy will be doing something with tulips on the other side so I think you ought to turn over and take a deep breath.

It's not good for you to have to deal with this much stress.

Don't watch it. She won't get fired and she will be on that floor. The Tories don't care and you shouldn't either.

She may well surprise you as long as she has the waltz the first week.

Ok, her latin will probably be car crash TV (Anton's is and he's the pro!) but she might just pull off a decent ballroom number.

Of course, in an ideal world Strictly contestants would have never danced or had any dance training (so that's actors, actresses and singers/pop stars out), be fairly unfit as fitness and core strength is an unfair advantage (scrub all sportspeople), be of a certain age (anybody over 50 need not apply)....so, we're left with newsreaders, chefs and hey, politicians!

If you narrow the scope of choice of contestant down too much you won't be left with a fat lot from which to select.

Yes I will still be switched on to the show as it's good show and it can be fun too.
Yes a bit mess around by some adds to the show like in the past years.
I would bet that Paul & Pamela we add a good show for us all.

BUT when a person is put on a show, that as some you say do a half good Waltz but with no idea on other dances is it fair when there must be a women out there that could go half way through the show with them trying there best and giving a good show ??

The show is there give us fun and feel a long time with Anton in the show would be more fun, but I do feel he will be first out if the Judges vote right in say the truth of her dancing....

Anton a great dancer? I'll grant you his ballroom is good but his latin is atrocious!

I feel your pain, OP.

I was hoping for Alastair Campbell or The Evil Overlord Mandelson, myself.

...except that I don't think that the BBC are that interested in kissing up to the Tories. You obviously haven't heard that they are planning a strike for the week of the Tory party conference purely to disrupt the its broadcast. Note Tory not Labour.

Good try at a joint anti-BBC/Tory troll though. Maybe try the Broadcasting forum?

The first line said it all. Why the need to mention "Tory"? More a statement of political bias and lost any validity for me from that point onwards.
