She can do a nice line in sofa chats on ITT but will she be able to cut the mustard on the Sunday night results show when she has to deal with a live studio audience?

yes.

Love her, love the banter and infectiousness she brings to everything she does, she actually makes me smile when shes on shes such a happy lovely person.

I never usually watch the results shows I found them boring il;l be watching this year now shes on them.

In her one-off Saturday night presenting role last year I think she was clearly better than Bruce or Tess ever are. Don't forget, she has also presented other live Saturday night shows with a studio audience such as Let's Dance for Comic Relief. She'll be great.

Thirded. Can't wait for the first results show now to see her in action

I think Claudia is ideally suited to ITT. It's a warm, intimate setting where she can inject her own personality and humour into a lot of what she does.

Don't think she's quite in her element when reading autocue and trying to project to a larger audience. Her voice gets lost a little bit.

I prefer her chatting to us on her own show and interviewing the couples. That's where her strength lies.

Perhaps Tess will front the Sunday night show and she'll end up in Tess's lair interviewing the couples on a more intimate basis.

Unfortunately, a few years back now I think she was obviously told to "button it a bit" on IT2, because of her constant ad-libbing.
She became less spontaneous and kept more to her script and the programme was the lesser for it. But I think she's a very capable presenter. She could run rings round Tess Daly who is completely bland and SCD's presenting equivalent of Clare Balding.

My ideal scenario would be what williamh suggests.

I think Tess is better than is given credit for front of house, and Claudia will be perfect chatting to the couples.in between.

Oh dear Sid! I'm disagreeing with you and the proper dancing hasn't even started yet!!! We'll have to have a mega smooch soon to make up for this.

Anyway ... I think Claudia is a much better live presenter than Tess. Clauds is really quick witted, funny, unpredictable and nicely different.

I agree that Tess is better than many give her credit for but she seems to me to be a stick to the autocue type and I prefer Claudia's spontaneity. However, whichever way they cut the results show I have high hopes that they'll work well together and give a nice change from the Bruce/Tess partnership on Saturday.
