She may well have said, that.

But was that after they'd been told they were to do it?
We'll never know, will we?

I'm all for trying different things and I'm glad they tried it in the launch show, but I don't think it really worked.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I'm glad they experimented, but it didn't really work.

Pushing off from and down onto the dancefloor is too important, so take the floor away and the leg and foot movements make very little impression at all.

Agreed, maybe if one was on the floor and one in the air (like they do on DOI) they would have had a bit more stability to be elegant with their movements but because they were both in the air their leg movements lacked punch.

I didn't watch the programme but I I watched a clip of the "flying bit" which by itself I think looked totally naff.
I guess if people had watched what went before and got "caught up in the moment" it might have looked OK to them, but to me it just looked daft. After all, it's supposed to be a show about ballroom dancing, for cryin' out loud, not Billy Smart's.

Especially in the AT. It just took the shaprness away from it.

I didn't think it worked. Particularly with the other dancers trying to heave them awkwardly from side to side. Flavia and Vincent have done some great routines in the past, but that was dreadful.

The bruised gr**n mention came from Pamela Stephenson's article about the launch show in either the Guardian or Telegraph (cant remember which).

Flashy trashy imo - just done for the sake of it.
