Rather amusing account of her time on the show so far, including an anecdote Scott Maslen may not have wanted made public

Looks like they've been preparing for weeks.

Excellent read. I never thought Pam was 60, she looks much younger. How come we heard nothing about the celebs already joined SCD before the launch " After only three weeks on Strictly, I've got it bad".

I loved it and I hope she stays in for a bit as it would be nice to hear more from her. (Plus I seem to be one of the minority who likes James).

Another of the minority here That's a great article, very funny too.

I hope there's a cameraman in New York to film their rehearsals, would be a shame to miss out on their training footage just because she hasn't based herself over here yet. We might hear from James (or Ola) on twitter, but otherwise we'll have no source of information as to how they're doing! I do wish I was on a plane to NY right now though....

Paace: they had a couple of weeks of group training, costume fittings etc before the launch show recording, so she probably has been involved in the Strictly experience for a few weeks now.

I like James too - didn't happen instantly, but quite entrenched now.

@mystical123 - the BBC have a New York office so I don't think that will be a problem. ISTR Aled Jones took his partner overseas for training too (Norway?).

It will be more tricky for James who will also have to practice back here too with the other pros for group dances.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to their training footage a lot!

As far as pro rehearsals go, Flavia said the other day that the pros have already choreographed and run through 7 group numbers to be used in the series, so it's just a matter of a quick refresher session on a Monday morning. So I don't think James will lose out much in that respect, plus even if he can't make pro rehearsals before the first live show, Ola will be able to at least go and observe and then just tell him what he missed! Presumably it'll be one of the dances they've already got sorted anyway, or 2 if they dance on both shows the first weekend. James and Pamela would have to be coming back around then anyway for studio rehearsals and costume re-fitting.

And he's only in New York for 2 weeks, not the whole series, as Pamela couldn't do that type of commute every week! She'll be UK-based once the live shows start

Good article. Especially liked the referal to the professionals -
"Kristina Rihanoff, the Russian bombshell who is dancing with Goldie, sustained a hamstring injury that was causing her considerable pain. Brendan Cole slipped on a costume hem during the first pro dancers' number and badly injured his shoulder. Flavia Cacace and Vincent Simone received nasty groin bruises from their aerial tango. If one of the better-known "celebs" had so much as grazed a finger, it would have been headline news. Yet those pro dancers – and probably others I didn't even hear about – quietly iced, nursed, stretched and bandaged, and got straight back on the dancefloor."

I have to say there was slightly tmi when she was talking about shaving her minge. I dont think anyone needed to know that.

Agreed. But we can console ourselves with how itchy she'll be when it starts to grow back.

I enjoyed Billy Connelly's comments most! He's not going to let her off with anything, is he!

The beeb have a NY office, I think we got a good bit of training footage when Ian had to train with ''photographer'' Penny Stewart in LA but i suppose that may have been a DWTS cameraman.

Definitely TMI at some points but, apart from that, a really good article. Especially this bit:

Great article and hope she does more.

I'd especially like to hear what Billy thinks - he looked totally bemused on Saturday night.

I would have loved to know his thoughts!

It was a good article, I hope she does more.

Some of those comments were really Holier Than Thou, weren't they? And there was a lot of "I've never watched Strictly but..." Please.

What a brilliantly written article. It's nice to have that little insight.

It was a good article and honest too. I like James Jordon too. Does anyone else think she has had cosmetic surgery? Suprising as she is a psychologist!

I cant tell, so if she has, it was done well and worked.

She has always looked good and started off as a real stunner.

I'm hoping she's either just nervous in this video or acting dizzy.
