1) They didn't know - Vincent and Flavia have confirmed that in their newsletter to their fans.
The pros were guessing the partnerships like the rest of us and only got Paul & Ola right!!!
2) Yes, people said they got on great with their pro dancer in training - but they did do 2 days' group training for the group dance! As was said by several dancers (pros and celebs) on the VT, they danced with loads of people because they didn't know who their partner would be. The pros rehearsed different endings to the dance so they could get to their celeb once they knew who they were.
3) They have
never had 3 months training (where on earth does that statistic come from?!) - the pros' contracts for Strictly only begin in the middle of August. If they'd had 3 months, they'd have been training for Strictly while still on tour
Pro rehearsals only started at the end of August.
And how it will work is that they've only got one dance to learn for week 1, and 3 weeks to do it in. And they've almost all started training - most have been on twitter about their training, and James and Pamela will presumably start today/tomorrow as he's on a plane to New York at the minute!
