It's in Heat magazine. Thank god for his hat! Didn't buy it, clicked a link of Twitter - mistake, it should have had a warning on it!

I hope so! I was disappointed by the photo.. I thought it would be a bit more 'revealing'. Damn that hat!

I'm not a fan of him or his music, but I for one won't be complaining if he does this again.

Why does it matter if he does do that everytime?

To be honest, if this is an issue linked to ongoing chart success, I can't see it being much of a long term concern.

Ha ha! Couldn't agree more. Furthermore, his "window of being almost attractive" was about two weeks long and happened a year ago so we really don't need to see him clothed, let alone naked.

Me too. Thought he would take off the hairpiece.

He always made me uncomfortable that in the past when he was at the xfactor house, he was far too eager to be seen in very little clothing. He was always parading around in his undies. So the naked thing now is no surprise to me. For me, if he wants to be a serious singer, he should keep his clothes on and have a bit of decorum.

He also said he would perform naked at G.A.Y. Has he done that yet?

Couldn't agree more. It plumbs new depths as a marketing ploy. And has seriously dented his chances of ever being seen as a credible act in the industry.

I agree. He completely lost his credibility as an artist (if he ever had any). Showed more about him not being here for the music but about fame. I use to like him but now he is really came out of his shell about being here not about recording music or liking it but about fame.

He got his #1 because radio supported his song, the video was everywhere and he had good promo on his side. Above all that it's catchy and overall..quite good i would say. The song is still in the top 5...he's co-written most of his material. It's a bit unfair to say he's only in it for the fame. Surely, no one believed he'd go fully nude?...
Not sure what credibility he had to lose in the first place.... he's a popstar on his first single...it takes years for critics to even take you seriously these days.

the jazz hands pose and cheesy grin don't do much towards creating any sex appeal but I presume that it was never going to be a Playgirl centrefold kind of sexy shoot and more of a jokey "I'll show my *rse in Top Shop's window" kind of deal

I suppose it'll tickly his fans' fancy though . most people look ridiculous in naked photoshoots unless you find them physically attracive in the first place .. lol

I..I did not want to see that! When I heard it was a hat, I assumed he was holding it. It...it would be very difficult to keep that hat there in umm..normal circumstances. If you get where I'm going with that.

I'm hoping there was some double sided sticky tape or some airbrushing out of some sort of strapping involved ... lol

When he canceled a gig for fans to appear on TV that is in it for the fame (not the first time by the way). Fans who bought the tickets for the gig couldn't even get their money back. He also didn't do anything for them to make it up. Compare this to Westlife, who was in the same situation and did their fan event and the TV event.

Also, Isn't it kind of too much of a coincidence that this whole brother hating him happened in the same week that his single is being release? I mean this whole brother story happen last year in Nov, so why is it now that it is published.

Also, sorry but co-writing does not mean anything. Even when an artist changed a couple of words or title, it's supposedly co-writing. And you know that is what happened. Don't get me wrong, he probably helped out, but the idea, production, and main parts of the written song were not done by him. He might have added things here and there, but let's not play it off as bigger than what it really is.

And this whole "I will get naked if I get #1" is desperate and pathetic tbh. What real artist, starting or current does that??? He really didn't put himself in a good light there to be taken seriously right. I mean if Cheryl Cole did that, I will buy 100 copies of what every she is selling and I am not buying it for the music.

That would hurt I'm sure he'd have found what I had in mind more fun...afterwards

What's with all the preaching going on here about decorum and desperation and such like? Get over yourselves! He made a joke in a magazine interview, in reply to them asking a question about what he'd do if he did get to number one. It was not his fault that Heat decided to go with that for the headline, and every gossip website then picked up on it - and when Heat obviously called him up the next day, it would've been rude not to make good on it.

I seriously doubt it had any bearing on his chart success whatsoever.

Honestly, I know DS forum members are known for over-analysing everything, but the accusations of a marketing ploy are frankly quite pathetic.

Spot on. Olly is all about decorum. He'd never pose in an unbuttoned wet shirt for the cover of Gay Times, next to headlines about his "manhood" and "Self sucking: How far would you go to find satisfaction."

Oh, wait...

Isnt that a poor number 1 though? Dropping 3 places in one week? We all know depending on the weeks releases, its relatively easy to bag a number 1 with not alot of sales in todays market!
Had major artists released material last week too, i get the feeling he wouldnt have a number 1! A number one doesnt mean much now a days imo, its harsh, but the fact still remains, if the songs intake doesnt justify how much the record label lays out on promotion and production he'll struggle! Its the industry, one minute youre up..the next youre dropped! I dont think theyll be happy with a 3 place drop in one week, especially when you look at 2 of the songs that knocked him down....were two releases that he actually beat to get to number 1 the week before!

I think Olly is fame hungry, and i think he's always been very up front about his goals regarding it too. Whats wrong with that? I chalk all of this "Ill go naked if i get to number one blah blah" simply down to ambition. He'll clearly do anything he can to get a head, and to be honest i actually respect that. If youve got it (apparently to some Olly Murs fans) then why not flaunt it!? Its a risky game what he's doing though, i think its getting a little over the top and looking too desperate. Rather than ambitious!

I do quite like Olly now tbh, never rated him on the show. But his material is actually rather good. Very suprised, but pleasantly.

either that chest hair is stuck on/airbrushed on or he's shaved/airbrushed his chest on the recent pic as they look like two completely different chests
