Kirkwood Now Should Bring Back Sharon & Chrissie
Tracy Ann Obermann said a few months ago she would love to return as Chrissie as she felt it was the right time. I think if they brought her back Sharon could be definitely brought back for a storyline involving the trial of Den with Sam still being in the show. Lets hope this will be the next big two names brought back in 2011. Come On Mr Kirkwood bring them back.

If Chrissie came back, I would be ecstatic.

Chrissie has no real reason to return despite me praying it would work, we must also remember that Chrissie wouldn't have soo much screen time seeing as EE is ok nowadays.
She was popular because she literally carried the show. Sharon will never return while Golden bitch Ronnie is on the show and she isn't going no where as she is top dog on and off screen. |

And if true to form, both will be pregnant.

No. Please NO.
I couldn't stand it if any of them came back. Sharon and her pout I could mildly tolerate, but Chrissie, a big fat curly NO |

Chrissie wouldn't have a trial as she decided to plead guilty in the end.
I think they should have Vikki turn up on Ian's doorstep after discovering the truth about Mark Junior's Parentage. Have Sharon turn up a few weeks later trying to convince Vikki to return home only for Vikki to reveal the real reason why she left. Sharon could be furious with Michelle and decides to stay in Walford. Then a few weeks later, Sharon would learn that Chrissie is to be released and homed near by Walford... |

Sharon & Ronnie are total different characters. Ronnie is pregnant with Jack. Sharons will only have one son Dennis Jr plus she was one of the original characters of the show she would fit in with Ian, Phil, Pat & Dot. They maybe both blonde. If Chrissie came back for a trial this would be the way to bring back SHaron and if she is successful this time around with the viewers they would keep her in the show. They did it with Carol Jackson and she hasnt had much storylines. They could focus on a new Sharon kicking off when she last was in the Square and struggling to look after Dennis Jr wthout Dennis in her life. Also a love triangle with her Phil & Shirley would be exciting as Phil still could have feelings for Sharon and also she never knew about his involvements in Dennis death with Johnny Allen back in 2005. Sharon is a character you can always rely on to have good storylines as Letitia is a fine actress.

Then Chrissie could return. Surprised how Sharon wouldnt know about Grant & Michelle now then. And why would Vicky go to Ian for anyway. Plus she never returned to Paulines funeral. The actress that played Vicky also said she would never return as fans of the show were constantly slagging her acting.
I'd recast Vikki. Yeah I'd have Sharon track Chrissie down, have a big confrontation then the next week Chrissie would get a job at the salon, we could see her slowly try and build her life up. |

would LOVE to see them both back! would really add to the heavily matriarchal atmosphere of the square atm though, even with peggy gone.

Chrissie as a character still has potential and should return.
How does Samantha Womack rule the roost off screen? |

Erm, nah. I hate how the show is holding on to the past too much. It needs new blood, new characters and families, and look to the future.
Chrissie annoyed me at times and Sharon belongs in the past. |

She'd know Dot and Pat too, but I never thought Sharon was extremely close to either of them. |

Why though? She has no real ties left, besides Ian and Ian and the Beales are getting very little screentime at the moment as it is.
She'd know Dot and Pat too, but I never thought Sharon was extremely close to either of them. As long as Ian or Phil are around, Sharon would still have reason for a return. Even a brief one. Chrissie on the other hand has no reason to be brought back. |

Not sure, I was expecting to read some long Watts posts from you Filiman
![]() I really find it funny how people go on about Sharon having nothing to come back for. Why do bad memories trump good ones? Never understood that. The square is the place where Dennis died - yep. It is also the only place Sharon and Dennis lived together as man and wife; the only place where they were totally happy together. The square is the place where her mum and dad fought - yep. It's also the place she was raised by them; where she loved them; and the only place where she ever saw them happy together. It's her home. She has spent more of her life there than anywhere else. More of her life there than any of the Mitchells have.... why shouldn't she return? Why wouldn't a person in such circumstances return? It is not far fetched at all. It's the place that has been her home longer than any other - why wouldn't she want to raise her son in her "home", for instance. She is very close to Ian; she is also very close to pat. When Sharon and Dennis got married a side-plot was how Pat felt excluded by Pauline in the preparations and how that wasn't right. There is no reason why she can't legitmately return, and those who say otherwise are, imo, just looking for a reason to try and exclude in the hope she want return. Yet, alongside Pat and Dot, she is the most iconic female character. She regularly tops polls about returnees. She is immensely popular. Hell, she topped a poll about who viewers would like to see return only 12 months after she left!!!!!!!! Chrissie is also very popular; she carried the show for the better part of 12 months. They had a poll on here about her returning, which had thousands of votes (rather than just hundreds of replies) and was overwhelmingly in favour - not just slightly or half a n half. It was pretty decisive. It wouldn't be easy to bring Chrissie back - AND it shouldn't be done this minute; but she was an extremely dynamic character. She puts most current characters in the shade; so the payoff would be worth it. I'd LOVE to see Chrissie butt heads with the new Mitchell "matriach" Ronnie and put her in her place. Or Janine; teach her what machiavellian really means! She worked great in the salon - and in the club. Hell, I can even see her working well in the bookies. She's dynamic enough to be put just about anyway. I don't think anyone is suggesting Chrissie and Sharon return now. They shouldn't. But towards the end of next year, with no major returns in between, I think it would be very impactful and dramatic. Or early 2012. Sharon's character really has so much potential as a mother - that would be fantastic to watch how the death of Dennis and motherhood have affected her, and what would happen when she learns Phil was directly to blame for Dennis death. Great stuff. There is plenty there for both these characters. We're not talking Billy Mitchell here. We're talking two very dynamic, well rounded characters who can be put in a lot of different situations and still have a lot within themselves that writers can play with. Chrissie is a writer's dream - which is why she was so well crafted. And Sharon, so long as they don't saddle her with yet another love-interest, would be very fresh as a mother-figure. |

No thanks. Sharon has no live left in her and Chrissie would be the most pointless return ever as her whole story ended and no one is around for her.

I think its only a matter of time. I think you are right about 2012. I think they like to keep options open as some of teh current stars willno doubt leave in 2011 (a lot of contracts expire in 2011) so if they lose some big characters they will want some replacements and SHaron will no dount be top of the list if Letita wants to come back of course. I would also like to See Chrissie V Ronnie - in mud.

What on earth does "no life left in her" mean??? Do you feel the same about Ronnie, Kat, Bianca (who, for heaven's sake, repeated the same storyline she did 10 years ago almost verbatim!!!). If you do, then maybe I can understand that you like things to be very fresh, and not repetitive. Fair enough - I would just question why you watch a serial soap though, as there is inevitably going to be a certain amount of that. |
