Sony Bravia vertical "ghosting" lines
We have a 40"Sony Bravia LCD TV and It sometimes has faint black lines running vertically on the screen, The lines are not solid but "Ghost" like and some are thicker than others. It is only usually noticable on SKY channels and in particular HD channels, when a panning camera shot at a football match is on the screen.
It is not visible when watching a Blu-Ray or a Video game...... Has anyone any ideas what it could be ???

This kind of thing used to be quite common when Scart leads ruled the world due to leakage of signals between unscreened cores, but your Sky HD box will be connected via HDMI.
Are the lines stationary or do they move around? |

Sounds like a panel problem, toshiba's have a reputation for lines down the panel (banding) this sounds simular to that.
Sony have a 3 years warrenty on thier sets ring them up and get it fixed. |

Sony warranties vary depending when and where you bought it - most are five year, a smaller number were three (some only one). In case of an extended warranty you will have a policy from Sony, if you don't have a policy then it's only 12 months.
Only seen Sony giving 3 years warrenty, but I suppose they do offers for longer time spans. |

Even after 12 months I would still be onto the retailer, by law you get longer then 12 months as a electrical product is meant to have a reasonable lifespan.
