**jumps into the thread**

Sorry guys I wanted to post and answer, but I had a skype call from my sister and my brother in law who I hadn't seen in 9 months.

Lovely music and interesting discussion.

Psycho 4 wasn't as good perhaps but I enjoyed the sequels and the original can never be beaten. I'm afraid I love American movies anyway, not one ofr European stuff much, not even British to be honest, though I like some of it.

... I only liked the original Psycho, all the other stuff IMO was a bit rubbish (sorry no offence intended). I'm not a big horror fan, I hide behind my hands and the sofa.

Could be I'm now on the third disc of series 2. I'm a bit behind and haven't been posting reviews of last ones I've seen. I think so far I enjoyed Buffy more but that's largely because of Spike.

I like Horor Films with Plot, which is why I like the movies I mentioned previously. Bloodfests like The Evil Dead etc hold no interest for me.

Mind you I like Vampires and stuff like that she says as she is watching Angel at this moment.”

I love violence as long as it's in a "fantasy" setting. Zombies ripping your head off are fine but a gang of youths really disturbs me.

When I was 12, I saw "Zombi" / "Zombie Flesh Eaters" and loved it (it's still one of my favourite films) but, around the same time, I saw "I Spit on Your Grave" and thought 'boring'! I bought the DVD recently and there's a nasty r*p* scene which made me really uncomfortable. I don't like seeing things that people can do (and still do) - I'm more comfortable with monsters because they don't exist. Have you seen "Pan's Labyrinth"? Fantastic film with exceptional fantasy scenes but the bit which sticks with me most is the little girl's father (step-father?) smashing the man's face in with a bottle.

You've been watching "True Blood" and that has some eye-popping moments of grotesque horror!

Yes, it was you, you were on series 2 last time we spoke.

I liked Angel because of Cordelia. Phwooarr!!!!

I liked Fred as well, but you probably haven't seen her yet!!!

Watched the first three Alien films on Channel 4 for the last few days, those are films i could watch anyday of the week without tiring of them

watched Alien Vs Predator Requiem last night and was left with a distinct feeling that they were trying to kick that film series into a bloody pulp

I'm honestly happy about this, I wouldn't want you to be stressed about things today. With regards to horror, I'm just a very scaredy cat. I'm not very good with it, although I want to know how films end or what their premise is.

No, something happened this afternoon which happened on top of what happened this morning, so I wasn't best pleased, but that's done with now.

*Presses forget button*

Horror films don't suit everyone. I went of the Final Destination Films because it was too gory, I think my horror tolerance has dropped a bit in recent years.

**hugs davey** This morning is definitely on forget button, hope this afternoon was not too bad.

It's strange I would love to be able to watch films like Saw etc., but I have a really low excitation threshold..

Saw 2 was the best. The answers were right there in front of you but you didn't see them. After that it was just a gorefest.

*Joins Lach for drink*

What was all that Eurovision stuff about earlier? Seem to have caught the end of it!!!!

I can watch shit, and the Eurovison stuff reminds me of my childhood, I'm a wee bit homesick at the moment.

The deaths just seemed to be like Cartoon violence, and as they went on further into the series they started to play on that more and more

I tried watching Pan's Labyrinth but to tell the truth got bored. I can see what you're saying as True Blood is fantasy and I can cope with fantasy horror in some ways but I'm not keen on the real life stuff. I like a good pyschological thriller like Jagged Edge.

For True Blood I tend to close my eyes for the really bloody bits!

I loved Buffy though I bought the boxsets in the completely wrong order! Didn't take to "Angel" until Season 3 then it got fantastic.

Fred - gorgeous. Illyria (spelling?) - gorgeous.

Cordelia - beautiful but... don't read this, Tumpy...
Spoiler
what a really sad way to go.

Love the Alien films - Resurrection not so much! The AvP films were abominations, though. Didn't stop me buying them but they were pretty dreadful, especially the second one.

Okay, don't read this either Tumpy!!!!

Spoiler
Was Illyria the one who made everyone think she was beautiful etc?

Yeah, I was really sad when Codrelai left, she was a huge miss and she had a cracking pair of knockers as well, shame she and Angel never got it on!!!

I read that Joss Whedon wasn't happy with the way they filmed his screenplay, and he felt the people they cast were all wrong

Well the first one was directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, and pretty much most of the films ive seen by him were dire(although ive got a bit of a soft spot for Event Horizon) so i had a feeling it was going to end up in the toilet, and the second one,i know Dark means menacing but COME ON when you watch a film it would be nice to see whats happing on screen at times

Final Destination

I liked the first couple of Saw films, but they fell foul to the studios wanting to rehash one every year to cash in
