9200T series link

This might seem a bit of an odd question but here goes.

Some years ago I remember my 9200T PVR being updated for series link. I used it for a small time but for whatever reason stopped using it and went back to relying on setting up regular recordings with auto-padding.

Now I can't actually find out how to reactivate series link in the menus. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

You have to disable padding, set it to "On-Time". You cannot use the two together, something which is improved on the new HDR-FOX T2.

Ah right. Thanks - I'll have a play tonight.

This implies you have missed the firmware update to v23... as after that and a 'default settings' series link is enabled by default.... ???

You probably have disabled the 'auto update' feature, too. Humax will be broadcasting an over the air update from 10am on Friday 24th to midnight on Sunday 26th.

Nope. Definitely not disabled auto-updates - no point in doing that. Got the latest software a few months ago and the update was much welcome - not being able to do anything as the EPG was loading was getting seriously frustrating!

A 'must-do' for us.... updates are so infrequent and the machine booting up to check for one at an ungodly hour when away in our caravan woke us up!!

I'm a little surprised that you'd forgotten the 'On Time' thing having defeated it so recently...

I don't recall anything changing in that respect when the update came.
