A New Davros?

I've been trawling through the net recently, reading comments about the series 5 Dalek design. After reading that Davros would not look good in a similar chair, I was inspired to test that theory out.

And I did*

So, What do you think? And, if Davros ever returned to our screens, would you change the chair? If so, for what?

Thoughts please

*I know that I should have edited the colours, but I mashed this up on windows 7 paint, and do not own Photoshop. Perhaps someone on here could alter the coulours for me? Pretty please?

Well, at least somebody had an opinion.

I'm going to contribute:

I think it'd be great if we actually got a close up of Davros' escape pod smouldering in a crater. As for his design, I think that there isn't much you can change about it, but every version has been good

So, nobody else has something to say?

I actually had a look when you first posted it, so sorry for not adding anything. I think it looks really good, and I don't mind the lack of colour it makes him look more menacing.

Feeling a bit odd today for some reason so my memory is a bit fuzzy but didn't the S5 daleks call the daleks created from Davros' DNA an abomination? If so I think its a bit unlikely that he would be given a new chair to match the new Dalek design unless of course what happened to him during Journey's End meant that he needed one (would he be allowed to continue his work or be held prisoner by the new breed of daleks?), in which case I'm not sure they would give him such a brightly coloured one, maybe black or grey so he wouldn't actually look that different from old Davros.

Does that make sense? Probably not, thought processes aren't working properly today I'm afraid, have no idea where that paragraph was going, but you wanted a comment so ....

Good attempt at a mockup though

It was Dalek Caan they referred to as The Abomination.

Ah right, but wasn't that in Journey's End and not Series 5

Told you my brain was fuzzy today

I think they referred to the ironside Daleks as impure, either as being davros clones or from human cells in the end of Series 1

But like the look

Changed the chair to black - http://www.flickr.com/photos/43707468@N03/?saved=1

Couldn't get it all, of course - as I've said, I can only use paint atm

Hm interesting, but now I think the upper bit needs to be a wee bit lighter.

According to the novelisation of Remembrance of the Daleks, they referred to the Special Weapons Dalek as The Abomination because it had been genetically altered.

I agree. If Davros does return, he should be in his original chair. I can see the story would be about him trying to impose himself as leader of the progenitor Daleks, who will see him as an abomination.

Has he ever even been out of his chair? I always assumed the Emperor thingy in Remembrance was built round the same old chair.

So do I. I still maintain that the guise of "Emperor" was simply to protect Davros from the rebel Daleks, and that Davros was still "whole" inside the casing.

IIRC, Davros is removed from his chair in "The Davros Mission", but never on tv.

At first I thought Davros was just a head in the Emperor casing in Remembrance, inspired my the fake Davros head in Revelation. But after re-watching (even before Stolen Earth/Journey's End) I started thinking he's still got his body, but was using the Emperor 'suit' as a disguise.

I favour something a little more understated

Maybe Davros will return, in his old chair, take one look at the new Daleks, and blow the lot up so that Davrosian Daleks can be reinstated.
