Panaconic G20 Grey Bars
Just bought the fantastic TX-P42G20B, but is there a way to change the colour of the grey bars to black? as it is very distracting when watching 4:3 material.

Sounds like you need to adjust your brightness settings, those grey bars are supposed to be black.

You could change the TV's Side Panel setting; Menu --> Setup --> Display Settings.
However as a fellow G20 owner I strongly echo Nigel's comment - the side panel setting is there for a very good reason. It's best to leave it on. (I ended up screen burn on a WS CRT due to 16:9/4:3 aspect switching because of the resulting black columns.) |
