Alex up early for a photoshoot. Wonder if it is album artwork?

If they have re-recorded Dumb, I really hope it never gets released. It's one of my least favourite songs on the album. I am excited to hear their collaboration, though.

I wonder if that will be the official artwork?

I quite like Dumb. I'd rather it be a ballad though.

Bury Me is the worst on the album.

Dumb as a single would work, it's got a good hook, but I'd prefer a ballad

I quite like Bury Me. I like the sound of her voice. Can't stand Dumb though. I can't understand how Dumb made it onto the album and Dangerous didn't.

I'm thinking that maybe she's re-recorded Dumb with JLS for the re-release. I think they'll only be one more single after this next one though, to help promote the tour. Then she'll be going to America. I'm quite nervous about America. She can easily crack it, but I've yet to hear any material from her that I think will enable her to make it big over there. They will laugh over there at SWY. Bad Boys worked over here, but in the U.S it really won't work...it will just sound cheap over there. Broken Heels is definitely a no, no. The only one that may work is ANL, but I don't really think it's strong enough at all...it wouldn't stand out over there. The onyl two tracks that I think would work over there are The Silence and Good Night, Good Morning...but neither are good enough to launch her. I'll be interested to see what they release first in the U.S. Hopefully it's something we've never heard.

It won't be the cover, the picture it says "tbc". To be confirmed so it looks like they've just put a random picture there.

Simon said on Xtra Factor Bruno Mars is the star of 2010 so IMO it'd be idiotic NOT to capitalise on this and NOT release Before It Explodes. I hope it's the new single.

It doesn't have to be the next single. I'm fairly sure Bruno will still be popular in January or Feburary. They can release it then. Also, it'll mean Alex has a single out to conincide with the tour. She can do a solo ballad for her next single, and everyone is happy.

I suspect Pefect may get the nod over The Silence for the next single, because of the Bruno Mars production credit. When Simon is heavily into someone, he takes any oppourtunity to use their work (ie Ryan Tedder).

Do we know when X Factor USA starts? It would be great if she did her tour until February next year, then worked on her second album and promoted in Europe. Then released the first single from her new album in the UK in August/September and at the same drop a single to U.S radio (Good Night, Good Morning) so they get a taste for her. Then they coudl launch her properley in the U.S when X Factor starts (think it's November if I rmemeber right).

Another nice little gig for Alex. OK she wasn't first choice but she must have been on the radar.

Isn't he the guy that paid Leona a shitload of money to sing at his daughters birthday last year?

I hope the artwork is like that, its 1000000x better than the current one. Not to sound snobby or anything, but from a designer's point of view - that album artwork looks cheap and tacky. I'll never get over how bad it is. WHAT IS WITH THE WHITE?!

Anyway, thankfully some of the single covers weren't as bad - SWY was the best (the portrait, NOT the rainbow). That TBC artwork looks quite classy and how I would have expected it to be in the first instance.

Anyone else find it amusing that Perez Hilton never once gave Alexandra a featured story on his site (though he once mentioned meeting her on twitter. very big of him) yet he's given free promo to the two much less succesful bookend winners of X-Factor, before and after her (Leon and Joe). Seriously, Leon and Joe!?!

Not that Alex needs Hilton's pimping for eventual American chart success, but it does seem like Alex is the one X-Factor act in recent years he deliberately went out of his way to not give any promotion at all on his site (he even did some for two other acts from her season, JLS and Diana Vickers). For some reason, he doesn't want Americans to have too high an awareness of who Alexandra Burke is, despite being of of the biggest popstars in the UK (and Hilton is a self-confessed anglophile, which is why he often features British and X-Factor related acts on his site).

The funny thing is, under ordinary circumstances, I'd assume Alex was the type of pop act he'd really go for. If anyone else knocked out that Start Without You video, I think Hilton would go nuts over it (not for it's "quality" mind. Just the amounts on manflesh on display)

Ahh well...at least this douchebag won't be able to pull the whole "I discovered her for Americans" routine, if/when her US campaign does take off. Being blacklisted by Perez isn't quite Radio 1 in terms of importance (in fact, it's arguably a good thing), but it's interesting too see that when Alex is seen as a threat, some try to pretend she doesn't exist.

Perez hasn't been paid to feature Alex on his site. Epic have the sense to realise that he is not needed.

I do realise some acts get a bit of record company "payola" to feature on Hilton's site, but at the same time, I can't believe anyone paid a penny for him to do feature stories on Leon Jackson or Joe Mcelderry....he does those guys for free, because he follows X-Factor and is now an anglophile. I doubt Diana Vicker's label have to budget to expend on Perez features either, but she's had more than a few since her album came out.

Perez likes to look "in the know" to his American readers (and his music industry contacts), so these days he now features a quite a few British acts that they've likely never heard of, so he can look like he has his pulse on the finger on the "European scene"....and if any of them ever manage to get to the States and do well, he can take some credit for having shown them on his site before Americans really knew about them. He's done features on everyone from Pixie Lott as well (and we know he loves Cheryl).

It just makes little sense for Hilton (knowing what I know of him) not to give Alexandra any features at all, when she is probably the 2nd biggest solo female Brit act at the moment, after his beloved Cheryl. Anyone else, and Hilton would be giving out some free promo, regardless of whether their label was paying him, because it's important for him to let his readers know he's onto the "next big thing from the UK". He knows Alexandra is doing big things in the UK....under normal circumstances, she'd be getting a few freebie features based on that alone.
