Perfect timing, last minute Xmas shopping - they'll be flying off the shelves. Both singles and albums. I hope they haven't Xmassed it up or anything hahaha

Hmmm Xmas period will be the busiest period for album sales. If the repackage is on 6th December it gaves shoppers 18 days before Xmas Day. Hopefully 200K a week (a bit ambitious?
), that'd tip Overcome over a million!. Then there's New Year / January sales. Everybody will have Xmas money to splurge.

I know it's shameful. Everytime I come on here I'm preoccupied by the general X-Factor forum so it's taken a while for me to diverge back to the 'Appreciation' section! I'll make more of an effort to keep up

Whilst we have had confirmation from the Radio1 head of music in the Q interview that they won't be playing this, at least Aled Jones, Chris Moyles and their cronies will not be able to take the mick out of this song.
The production on the first verse is kind of slow for radio so i imagine they must've tweeked that abit?. I just hope it doesn't lose it's magic as i reckon they probably had to shorten the single version.
I have a feeling that it will be quite a revamp compared to the original. I reckon they've added more synths and piano and a more 'radio' beat á la Shontelle's Impossible.
Anything else would be too drastic a change imo. Its a shame Perfect wasn't the next single, but I guess it was doomed after it got leaked.

Anyone got a link to this interview? I'd be surprised if they didn't playlist it to be honest. You'd think they'd want to playlist some ballads in the run up to xmas.

It was in the latest edition of 'Q' magazine. Not available online I don't think. He mentioned Alex and Enrique as examples of artists they don't play because they don't fit the stations profile.
I hope the video for The Silence will be epic. No crappy, cheap studio set. I want it shot on location in the Swiss Alps The more "winterish", the better.

Alex and Enrique are two of my favourite artists.
Radio 1 is a load of bollocks, in short.
Not been on in a looong time, but how exciting that The Silence is the next single! Also looking at past posts, the reaction to SWY wasn't that great but I absolutely LOVED it, including the video because Alex looked HOT and the dancing was just so sexy as well
