I thought ANL would have sold more than BH. Although, even though BH only reached number 8, it was in the top 40 for ages so was selling consistently..

Pretty sure that Hallelujah is very close to 1.2 million now.

Where did you find the album sales?.

How do you find out what number The Silence is on iTunes? When I look, it only shows up to the top 200.

It's currently at number 250 on iTunes. Hmmmm, I hope it doesn't peak too early.

I'm sure this single was just intended for a huge Xfactor performance that will hopefully sell the deluxe really well. There's not as much pressure to have a high peak with this (i think she'll get a top 3 placing for sure after the performance).

OCC released a list of the best selling Xfactor singles and it has Hallelujah at 1,195,000.

It's now at 198 on iTunes. I think it's going to peak way too early. Hopefully radio won't start playing it for another while yet.

This song fully deserves to be #1. I'm in love with the single mix now and can't stop listening to it.

Can I ask but what happens if 'the silence' does peak to early and it gets into the charts before the release date, doesn't that mean that whatever it get charted at makes it ok, even if it is in the charts before it is meant to.

^ If you even understand that

I'm pretty sure it'll get number one after an amazing XF performance.

After seeing that video, I really don't see why they keep putting so much make up on her. She is naturally so much more beautiful!

Hadn't twigged this until today, it's Pojustice's review of The Silence and it's quite funny.

!”

Not neccesarily. As has been pointed out, Alex will lose quite a lot of sales in the lead up to an X-Factor performance, so will already be at a disadvantadge. It could well end up being a massive seller that never peaks at the top.

Not to mention, that as she did when she performed Bad Boys the same night as Robbie Williams, Alex will almost certainly be performing on the same show as her main chart competition the week of release (likelyhood of it being Nicole Scherzinger's Poison. But could also be Taio Cruz or Shakira featuring the Uber-popular Dizee Rascal). If Cheryl Cole had performed the same night as Rihanna (which seemed to be the original plan), I suspect her chances of being #1 this Sunday would have gone up in smoke. I don't think Simon will cut Alex the same slack as Cheryl, by not letting her perform the same night with an act that could challenge her chart peak.

I love The Silence video! It's a simple video with a simple concept, but it was the right way to go because it makes it all about the song and Alexandra's emotion and performance, and she looks stunning. I like the changes in the instrumental too. She's going to blow everyone away when she sings this on the X Factor. Even though it's not a new song, I still think a live performance will sell the Deluxe.

I'd rank her videos in this order:

1. All Night Long
2. The Silence
3. Bad Boys
4. Hallelujah
5. Broken Heels
6. Start Without You
