Can anyone tell me the name of a Doctor Who documentary that shows somebody running a set of keys against a piano wire?

I learnt (and saw) this on a documentary called 'Adventures in Space and Time' as part of 'Doctor Who Night' in 1999.

I'm not sure, but i also think there is a part of about it on one of the old Radiophonic Workshop documentaries.

It's definitely one of the bonus features on The Edge Of Destruction DVD; either 'Doctor Who: Origins' or 'Masters Of Sound' (I'm guessing the latter).

It's been on numerous documentaries over the years. I think I first saw it on one on TV in about 1977.

I also seem to remember the Dr Who Night documentary .......

(you'd think this might be on youtube, but doesn't seem to be).

It often appears on sound effects documentaries. I know it's on at least one DVD. Edge of Destruction would make sense.

Isn't it amazing how something so simple can be so effective? Clever old Radiophonic Workshop!

In one of my lectures about Alternative Music-making methods and such, the lecturer mentioned the TARDIS sound and showed utter praise for it, saying that "even though it came from someone essentially mistreating a Piano, its become a piece of music in its own right"!

And I think he's right! Just a slight different emphasis on the string during the recording and it would have sounded very different!
