Lilia was my favourite female pro dancer, and Matthew my favourite male, so how can I not regret their no longer being around? I'll get over it in my own time, thank you ..
Thank you rwm. This response is perfection.

[Except obviously I want to change the names to Matt and Brian.]

Again already I haven't once told people I'm right, you're wrong and do as I say... I don't know how many times I need to repeat myself.

BBC didn't not "cut" 4 of the best loved pro's, they simply offered them a reduced role in the series - which 3 of them turned down and hence why they're no longer part of the show at all anymore, though I suspect Claude will have them on ITT frequently.
If they are on ITT will they tell us how they really feel about their demotion?

Nobody but them can answer that, surely

Not if they want to return next year

Ian's comment on his blog would suggest that he's got at least the potential to return...see other thread for this.

If it's a DWTS-style deal where they swap the pros in and out of the troupe, then I'd have thought this would be a pro rather than a con over time.

I suppose the question then becomes, did the producers make this part of proceedings clear when they put the deal to the troupe members in the first place? Or have they just realised they've stuffed up, and are now opening the door back up for the well-loved pros to return?

Reading this thread has just brought back to me how much I'm going to miss Ian proving year after year just because a female celebrity is tall doesn't mean she can't jive.
