I don't think they will be, sadly, Bonnie. Lots of Cola fans have asked Chris on Twitter about this and he's told us his phone is yet to ring .... gutting, it'd be great to see the magic he and Ola had once more. .... maybe they might dance at this years final?

I agree with what's been said .... 9 -10pm is far too late for the BBC's flagship family show. What a load of rubbish. And the seven couple who dance on thr Friday will blatantly be the lower profile ones so they can build it up for the Saturday. I expect Widde, PD and Gavin all to be on Saturday.

Neither - they haven't been asked to do it

We reckon maybe they're having the Charleston as a competition dance this year, and they'll have Chris and Ola dancing the week before to show this year's contestants what they have to live up to! Or else hopefully in the final, or semi-final weekend as there are 2 shows....

And seeing as Ola will probably be out early or early-ish this year, it would make sense to leave it until later in the run when she has time to do a few training sessions with Chris

I'm a little scunnered at the 9 o'clock Friday start this year, since at that time I'm usually at my dance class! I think there may be a few folk leaving early that day...

So how is this going to work then? Are one couple going to be eliminated on Friday and then one on Saturday or are they going to combine the two? If they combine both nights the couples performing on the Friday night will be at a big disadvantage.

There's no elimination in week 1. All 14 couples will dance again in one show the week afterwards, and the combined judges scores will produce a leaderboard, which the public will then vote on. One celeb will then be booted off in the first results show, that weekend.

There is no elimination the first week. The judges scores are going to be carried forward to week 2. I can't remember if there is going to be a public vote in week 1. Last year fewer people watched the Friday show so I agree if there is a public vote on the Saturday carried over to week 2 those who dance on a Friday would be at a disadvantage. One way round it might be for the percentage of votes for each couple to be carried over rather than the actual total. It would be less unfair to compare percentages between Friday and Saturday night than total number of votes.

No elimination 1, and no double elimination week 2 either, After each couple has performed a ballroom and a Latin dance, one couple is eliminated, so we go into week 3 with 13 couples still competing.

Scores are combined from both weekends, each couple only dances once the first weekend. No public vote until the second weekend as far as I know (because what's the point in opening the lines only for a short while on that Saturday, for instance), where all the couples dance on Saturday, so no-one is at a disadvantage.

That seems fairer, last year Martina Hengis and Matt Cutler were eliminated without being given a fair chance for the public to get to know Martina.

Absolutely. Presumably all the couples will be on It Takes Two as well before the first elimination and we've also got the training videos on the BBC website. I don't think we had this last year.

Yes, I would assume so - they have 5 ITT shows, so Claudia will probably do a few interview-focused days where she has 3 couples at a time on, and then 2 couples on the Friday, possibly live from the studio rehearsals.
