I'm a big Rebecca fan.

I'm not worried about the confidence, it can be learned and the public will warm to her, she seems a lovely person with a fantastic voice. She's got a great look too so I've no doubt she'll do well.

I just wanna hug her tight and tell her how good she is.

I am so pleased that Rebecca is through as she is one of my two favs., Matt and Rebecca are now my favs and I would love them both to be in the final.

Love Rebecca!
From the first audition i saw something in her, something really unique that no one else in this years competition has come close to matching for me, she just ticks all the boxes. Not worried about the confidence either, a few weeks of live shows i think will sort that, Expect great things and hopefully she gains more and more support each week, Maybe she can give Matt (seems to be the favorite so far) a run for his money.......

Bit worried about how a possible backlash towards Cheryl after the madness from last night might affect her chances but will probably will blow over soon.....

Rebecca FTW!

I'm sure her confidence will grow week by week but being shy never hurt Leona so doubt it'll have any affect on her.
I don't think she'll suffer with the Cheryl backlash either but maybe Cher or Katie, who seems to be disliked alot on her, might. From what I gather most people agree Cheryl made a great choice picking Rebecca but not the other girls.
Really hope she makes the final though and wins it. Told myself after last year I won't have a favourite but that's went out the window.

That kind of narrow attitude will see Rebecca quickly ejected from the show. She needs to appeal to a wide demographic. The first step: drop the scally accent. She needn't sound contrived, just well-mannered and well-spoken.

I think she is well mannered and well spoken. I don't think she has a thick Scouse accent at all. Sure I could place her in the country but there is nothing wrong with regional dialects. She is perfectly intelligible.

I had more problems with Stacey last year who as well as being difficult to understand came across as being the other kind of thick also.

I think she said she used to have much more confidence about singing but had lost it somewhere along the way because of other things happening in her life. Her performance at boot camp was already much more self-assured, so provided the judges don't get nasty with her, I'm sure she'll just get more and more relaxed.

Also I don't think her scally accent is a problem. It's not that broad and you can't hear it when she sings. She just comes across as a really nice person imo.

I don't see her accent as being a problem either, in fact i really like her scouse accent, it's not as if you can't understand her, like as ardwark said was the case with Stacey last year, but either way how can she "drop" her scally accent?

Also am loving her style, hope they give her some freedom with what she wears in the live shows because she seems like she would be too polite to say no....

So now the theme has been confirmed as number 1s what song do we think she'll do? As it's the first show probably be something safe like Fallin by Alicia Keys although I'd like to see her do something less obvious.
I'm really loving her style too and hope the stylists don't put her in outfits that will be too dated for her. Something classy but suits her and makes her comfortable on stage because I remember Lucie Jones saying last year she never felt herself on stage due to what she was wearing so I wouldn't like something similar to happen to Rebecca.

Don't think Falling is an option as it wasn't number one, seeing as she did Fireflies in Judge's house she might surprise us and do something less obvious.

I think I'd like her to have a go at There Must Be An Angel by The Eurythmics

It was in America unless the theme is british number 1s. I don't think we'll get anything too surprising yet that may come in week 3 or 4 I think.
Got a feeling Cheryl is gonna play it safe with her girls for a couple weeks.

That would be a good choice sadly it's not number one but I do know what you were getting at.
Hopefully Cheryl gives her a good song but not too safe that it's boring and gets her slagged off out in the main forum.

This thread should be at the top of the page, so I'm bumping it up!

Rebecca seems so lovely, I can't see anyone else winning tbh

She has come across as quiet and unassuming in her interviews and video diary. To be honest, we know way too much about zelebrities and their culture. There is absolutely no mystery about most which is why so few become real stars.

Quiet. dignified and talented I like very much.

She does come accross very quiet and maybe a bit awkward sometimes in the group interviews i've seen and seems to let the other two get on with it, which i have no problem with at all, just makes her more endearing and even more intrested in what she has to say because she holds back a bit,
Being very quiet reguarding the songs they're singing this week though, thought we would of found out by now...!
