She looked stunning, moved well and sung well. I didn't really like the arrangement of the song though. That won't have been down to her. Valiant first night out. I think with that under her belt, she will go from strength to strength.

Cheryl and XF bosses would have wanted to look justified in keeping Cher and Katie in over Gamu, when they did poor auditions at judges houses.(I think that's why Katie was allowed to sing We are the Champions, which the judges didn't like at first audition...she knows it really well and less likely to forget her lines. ) Similarly, with Treyc, Cher put her in as wildcard and not Gamu, so they'd want Treyc to do well too to justify that decision. Rebecca is the only girl in Cheryls group who has had no controversy attached. This means Rebecca is a bit invisible to the public compared to the 3 other girls in the group. I'm a bit worried, as she got good comments and the public may assume she is safe and not vote. Fans of the other girls in the group will be voting for their favourite like mad because of the backlash over Gamu. After this week though, there won't be the same pressure on Cheryl re the other three girls and hopefully will have some fab song choices for Rebecca that will really showcase her style.”

The controversy over the other girls will be of benefit to her IMO. She's not being overexposed and therefore people won't be bored of her before she's had time to get in her stride.

Lets hope she gets called out first tonight

Good Luck to Rebecca tonight not that she will need it from a Matt and Rebecca supporter.

I wonder what Rebecca will be singing next week. I can't wait to find out. I don't think we'll hear anything till Thursday/Friday though.

I think she has a good chance of winning.

I'm not there yet but Rebecca is in with a shot if and when I start voting. I wish her well

It's in the news that Rebecca is upset her address was leaked when her home was shown by itv. http://www.list.co.uk/article/30012-...-address-leak/ She's quite right: they should've been more careful. She's got young kids apart from anything else. She can do without people hanging around at her door.

Very stupid of X Factor bosses to do that. I'd say her kids are now elsewhere for their safety.
Loved Rebecca on Saturday she was very good. Not a song I'd have picked but as it's the first live show I'll let Cheryl off. I'd love to see her do something like At Last or Don't Know Why but doubt that'll happen.

Cheryl would probably give them to Katie or nobody at all. Bint!

Yeah, I didn't get the impression that Rebecca was Cheryl's priority last week .

I don't think there was a choice in that really. All efforts had to be put into over producing the other two to give any semblance of credibility as to why they deserved to be there above others.

As it turned out, all the efforts were an abject failure.

I prefer Rebecca just as substance rather than all the gimmicks foisted on the other two. Treyc does well enough without all those trappings too.

I'd say while Cher and Katie are still in the competition Rebecca and perhaps Treyc will be pushed aside but that could be a good thing in disguise.
Rebecca could sneak up and have her moment half way or later providing she's still there. I may do what I did last year and bribe my sister to vote though it helps she likes Rebecca too so shouldn't take too much.
Do we know the theme yet?

They're saying on the mf 'musical heroes'. That's a very broad theme so she should get a good song.

Love Rebecca-she is special-very marketable. I love the Jazz and Blues tradition which she has.

Would love her to sing either Alison Moyet version of 'That Ole Devil called Love'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zUhK...x=0&playnext=1

Or

Billie Holidays version who she partly reminds me of.

I just feel that the X factor is not the right place for her. Simon will try and strip her originality away to suit the market. How I wish another recod company had picked her up. I suppose one has to be grateful that I can listen to her on the X factor.

I believe that Simon will sign her-God help her!!. Her shyness, humbleness, unique style, and timeless voice is a huge selling point. Billie was like that.Am I showing my age LOL.

Till then

Simon has said a couple of times that she has a great recording voice, so hopefully he will be interested in singing her whether she wins or not.
