As for Daybreak I am aware its Friday so ive looked at the shares
Wednesday - Daybreak 0.7m (17.8%)
Thursday - Daybreak 0.8m (19.0%)
Friday - Daybreak: 0.67m (16.2%)
its share is down as well.”
Adrian & Christine weren't presenting on Wednesday and Thursday and nothing was made of it. Thursday seen a comparative surge both in raw figures and shares whilst Friday plumetted to an all time low with the return of Adrian & Christine. Coincidence? Anyone know the AI's for the last week?
The Lorraine rating was poor too but Sharon Osbourne was presenting. The Friday show really isn't working, I think they should just go back to Monday-Thursday with an extended Daybreak on Fridays. Perhaps they could even bring back Entertainment Today (but not the name) with Kate and that other entertainment correspondent hosting it.

Breakfast is up 41% (which is brilliant). ITV breakfast schedule (6-9.25am) is down 19%.
FYI, Homes Under the Hammer is up 36%, Jeremy Kyle up 10%, This Morning up 15%, Loose Women down 5%.”
I don't think 6-7am is competitive enough and for a light news programme at that time when you're talking demographics. That bit must also be dragging the average down considerably if Daybreak generally gets 0.4m for the first hour.
ITV's best bet is to axe the 5.30am news and air ITV Newshour from 6-7am, Daybreak from 7am-8.30am and Lorraine from 8.30am-9.25am.They could probably expect ratings similar to 0.5m for the first hour and 1m for the rest, but that looks better than 0.8m for the entire morning.
In other ratings news, great nights for both BBC1 and ITV1, Strictly and X Factor have both clearly benefitted from being on at their more recognisable time (Strictly was always around 6pm with X Factor around 7.30pm until last year). Channel 4 did quite well too by their Saturday standards, but they really need a direction for Saturdays because there seems a bit of 'nothingness' around their schedule.
